Ray's Bbq Shack

Great customer service!! The lady taking orders was so kind and helpful. We got a chopped brisket potato, brisket sandwich and a 3 meat plate with sausage, ribs, and brisket with mac and cheese and dirty rice for the sides. Everything was ok. Not super flavorful, but not dry either. The Mac and cheese was rather bland and milky. The dirty rice had a good flavor. The potato was loaded down. Would definitely try again.

Rays was on my list of restaurants to try based on seeing them on a food show. I'm in town visiting. Rays did not disappoint. I love BBQ and the brisket and ribs were excellent. They were tender and moist. The catfish and shrimp were also delicious and very well seasoned. I left smiling and satisfied.

we aren't from texas, so maybe what is for me, is standard fare here. but the brisket is THE BEST brisket i have ever tasted. other reviews spoke on how the meat is so flavorful it doesn't need sauce. facts! but the sauce is good too lol. i ordered a stuffed baked potato and when i tell you i want THAT bbq baked potato everytime, for the rest of my life, i am not exaggerating! then they have corn on the cobb that is breaded and deep fried ... i don't even like corn on the cobb but that junk was delicious af. so yea... we kinda liked it lol. def be back. it's a small place though, not a lot of space to sit and eat. which is crazy seeing how packed they get.

Second time trying this place and I wasn't disappointed. Ribs were tender and the brisket was good. Beans were very flavorful. The macaroni wasn't tasteful and the slaw was dry imo. Price is reasonable and the wait time wasn't long either.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: YesDelivery: Yes

I try to support my black business and have my family to,I stopped in as I normally do this time with my son ,never caught before but your menu prices don’t match your register prices when asked to honor the menu price manager said NO basically your menus weren’t updated with no remorse even after I said other places honor there mistake her demeanor was not her problem.then when refund was given credit company still charged a fee. You were one of my favorite places to drive from spring to there and spend weekly from 25-50 dollars but that experience will make me stay north saving gas,time and my money if I just gotta settle

Rays Real Pit BBQ shack is always good I got ribs and homemade links dirty rice and potato salad. Oh, and I got a peach cobbler, delicious

Bought a smoked turkey burger from here. Turkey was dry, bun was not hot. Not what I expected. Cucumber salad was good. BBQ sauce was good, but not enough to give turkey a taste. It took over 30 minutes to get my food. I was expecting flavor and taste for that amount of time taken to make it. Looked like they just slapped these pieces together. Not going back.

The customer service at this place is HORRIBLE. They need to train their employees on customer service or find another job. JAYLA was extremely disrespectful and needs to be reprimanded and/or FIRED. The employees are rude. Trying to support BLACK BUSINESSES and this is how they treat customers. I hope the owners see the this and take action. This is the second I’ve tried to support this business and each time I’ve had a horrible customer service experience.

We came in from out of town Philly and Rays came highly recommended from the hotel staff. We place an order which totals $154 only to find out after contacting the restaurant that the platter that we were short was probably stolen by the DoorDash delivery driver that they used to make their deliveries. Although the food was good, the DoorDash delivery driver gave Ray real pit barbecue shack a bad look. We were told that we have to go through DoorDash to get a refund for the platter that we didn’t get so if you order from Ray’s real pit barbecue shack and you order for delivery check your order before you give the driver any type of tip.

I have been here a few times and the food is not consistent in my point of view. The brisket and sausage both have a good favor. I just feel that sometimes it sit in the warm box for too long before it is served to the customer. Overall the service and atmosphere is great. I would recommend this place because the food has been a five star in the past. Safe Travels. Prost
