Raya Lebanese Restaurant

As others have stated, it is very busy in there at lunchtime, but if you walk into a restaurant at lunchtime, and it's empty, there's probably a good reason for that. Here, it is just the owner cooking, and one server, and they do an amazing job under the circumstances. You want blazing-fast service and mediocre food, go to Subway. Having said that, I waited 20-25 mins for my takeout last time, and I don't even care--this is fresh and flavorful and made with love by a real person with a real restaurant. I want to try other things there, but I can't get over the piping-hot fluffy gyro, and those seasoned fries!

We stopped in for a quick bite after a big event downtown. They got swamped quickly with unexpected crowds. They worked hard to serve everybody and even seemed to call in other family members to help out. The food was great and the service while a little slow was friendly and accurate. Will definitely go back.

It's a small, quaint family-owned Lebanese restaurant, with authentic food and a nice aesthetic. It didn't blow my mind as far as flavor profiles and complexity go: the dishes were simple, to-the-point, and delicious, which effectively satisfied my hankering for Meditteranean cuisine, and that's all I could've asked for. I will be back.

Great food but the service at lunch time is awful! They are extremely busy at lunch and only have 1 server and she does the best she can but that is an impossible job for 1 person they could easily have 2 or 3 servers in there. So if you go when its busy be prepared to wait and wait and wait and don't even think about a refill on a drink because it's not happening. I hope they get some help at lunch time because I would really like to keep going there for lunch.

Anytime I am in the area I go to Raya’s. Their gyros are the best I’ve had in the city. Their hummus is good, but their pita bread right out of the oven is amazing. It’s small, quiet, and affordable. If you have the time, check it out. You won’t be disappointed!!!
