My husband and I came here for a date night and had a wonderful time. The service was great. Our server gave us enough time to ourselves without feeling neglected. We got the charcuterie board to start which we grazed on the whole night pepper jelly is . The burger with beer cheese was killer. Their Alabama white sauce that came with smoked chicken is something else! Ambience at night is magical with the lights. Highly recommend!
This place is excellent. During a trip to the Bourbon Trail, I searched Google for the best burger in the Louisville area. Red Hog was one of the restaurants mentioned, so I steered myself there on a Saturday afternoon and had a lovely time. I didn't make a reservation, and sat outside to enjoy the weather. The only thing I tried was the burger and fries, and it did not disappoint at all. I have to say it was one of the best meals I had in that area, and it wasn't expensive. The service was good and they offer a good selection of whiskey to wash down the grub. Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for a filling burger
Running low on quail and ran out by the time we ordered at 7pm . For hot drink options mulled wine and cidru are available. We enjoyed beef tartar on toast not crackers.Winter salad was on bitter side with citrus fruits and minimal dressing : red or white wine. Two shavings of dry feta did not help either- this is a Summer salad. We had the pleasure to interact with three servers, two very flexible and one less observant; ask for salt and pepper or alternative dressing - not available. The bright green house sauce which is present along most dishes is extra tangy made with strong vinegar. Outdoor seating in tent and with heaters and a beautifully tended garden was empty. Inside the two adjacent rooms were somehow busy but we were not seated on main room. Our seating was by delicatessen window …I would not seat reservations in this area when other options available ..as in seats at a long table.Pleasant background music and a good 20 minutes waiting for main dishes.Hamburger grilled to perfection but grilled pork was just ok and had a sweet side sauce.Thumbs up for using #sustainable straws!!Thank you for supporting the local farmers!!Overall this venue did not live up to the raves we browsed online but is a decent runner up for sure.$124 for three.
We were in town for a wedding and found this restaurant. The overall vibe of the place is that it has quite a lofty opinion of itself. After our experience there, I can't say that it's justified, especially for the price. The dinner menu is limited, presumably because so much care and attention is taken with each dish. Two of our party had the pizza - a $23 personal pan sized circle of mostly dough with a pitiful sprinkling of cheese and sausage. At least the pepperoni was more plentiful on the other pizza. We had the half chicken, but were not allowed to request a vegetable to replace the sad little tangle of onions and pickles or the rolls dietary restrictions because no substitutions, period. So, we had to settle for a $26 chicken with nothing else, though it tasted okay. I had a weak gin and tonic with a "house" tonic water that was the color of weak tea and had an odd taste I can't describe. The service was adequate, but minimal and not inclined to please. We felt we were being tolerated, and nothing more, as Red Hog caters to the the pretentious and perpetually annoyed urban hipster crowd who live in the area. An overall disappointing experience.
Man, when I tell you ... this place is just perfect in every way from the moment you walk through the door. Every time we go there, the food is just perfection . But the staff..... They don't miss a freakin beat. Everything is so precise. Their attitudes are always wonderful. It's just an all-around, well managed place. I love it here so much.

Burger is a 10/10 if you like pickles ask for them, I took some from my moms chicken plate, also get the bacon Chicken is Smokey and delicious Drinks are great, fries are perfect Server was very considerate of dietary restrictions, very nice
First time for our family group and we loved it. Tasty food and signature drink menu. Nice menu variety that changes based on availability and local sourcing. Attentive, friendly service. The restaurant is on one side and the shop on the other.
Great food, unique experience. I'll come here again. Love the atmosphere, and the gift shop section allows you to purchase something to cook/eat at home. Your paying for quality, so don't expect fast food prices or fast food quality. The rosemary lemonade was real refreshing and not something I've had the pleasure to see anywhere else, if you like rosemary you'll like this lemonade!
Fantastic environment, great food. The pizza is pretty standard, so I'd recommend getting something else. Burger was fantastic and the cuban was also on point. Cocktail, beer and wine selection is great. They run a bit differently than other places... when you first order you'll open a tab and you keep the number on your table until you pay your tab.
What a great spot…excellent meat, cooked correctly, off the Main Street and well worth the short excursion. Cocktails were great as well.
