I believe that health, wellness, weight-loss, and fitness all start with nutrition. On that front I believe in a diet of whole foods, with special emphasis on lean meats and vegetables. I believe the basis of exercise should always be resistance training, as being stronger makes everything easier. Focusing on resistance training will help you age better, lose weight, and be a better athlete no matter what your sport is.
Complementing the resistance training with “smart cardio” is the best approach for health, wellness, fitness, and weight-loss. Too much cardio can be detrimental to your health and won’t help you meet your goals, so I suggest a balanced approach to cardio based on needs. Lastly, I believe moving well must be a focus, to assure that we become (or remain) injury free. My approach is to correct imbalances and deficiencies, and assure the athlete is moving well before they progress to more advanced movements. I want to help you eat well, move well, get healthy, and get strong!
