Relax and Release Massage

The owner, Janielle is ridiculously unprofessional. My mother purchased a Groupon for two massages, and we set up an appointment with her, using her online booking tool. When we showed up at our scheduled time, we waited for at least an hour before she came out of the locked door into the vestibule and asked if that was us that keeps calling. We told her we were calling because we had an appointment and thought no one was here since the door was locked and no one seemed to be there. She explained that her appointments had gotten mixed up and she could only fit one of us in that day. We asked if we could reschedule so that we could come together on a different day. She agreed and even wrote a note on one of her cards that said she'd give us a free hot rock massage for our trouble. She asked us to text her to set up the appointment and wrote her phone number on the card as well. Sounds like a plan, right? Well, after that date, we both tried to get in touch with her via text, phone and email to no avail. She wouldn't answer any calls or emails for two months!! Then, my mother finally went back up to the business and her door was still locked. When she attempted to call, the calls weren't answered. She finally knocked on the door although the sign on the door asks for customers not to knock because she was at her wits end. The owner comes out with an attitude because she says she has a client and the knocking was disturbing them. What?! She told my mother that she isn't dealing with Groupon any longer and suggested that she get in contact with Groupon to get her money back. First of all, WHY NOT ANSWER YOUR PHONE OR RETURN AN EMAIL AND SAY THAT?! She wasted both my mother's and my time being unprofessional and dodging phone calls when she could have been upfront from the beginning. How can you even get clients if you never answer your phone?! Why would you not honor a commitment that you made? I would recommend that you NEVER deal with this company. She doesn't honor her word at all and has the nerve to be irritated by customers trying to get an answer as to why she won't honor her word.

I had an appointment for 11:30am. Janielle had been in touch with me a few times before the appointment so I thought things would run smoothly. I arrived a few minutes early - the sign in the lobby said to wait for the therapist to come out and retrieve you. After 11:45am came and no one had come out, I tried the door to the office - it was locked. I called and got no response. Eventually after a half hour I just left. A few hours later and still no call back.

Janielle is a greater massage therapist. Soft hands yet strong enough for those knotted areas. My only complaint is that I didn't come to her earlier. I will be back and I would recommend her services. You won't be sorry.

Received the 75 minute Groupon as a Christmas gift. Tried to schedule in March and had to settle with a date in June due to availability. Sounded like a very busy place so I assumed it would be great. The massage itself was great. I'm a bigger guy and she went very deep and worked out some knots. Again, great massage. The issue I had, and have read in several other reviews is the lateness. My appt was for 9:15am on a Monday. I took the day off to aaccommodate the apt. She arrived at 10:21am. Most people would not have waited but this was the only opportunity I had and I was not going to waste a vacation day. To her credit and my expectations, she rearranged her schedule to get me in immediately and even offered a free hot stone service which I declined. The other problem was that I got a less than 60 min massage for my 75 min coupon. At that point, I didn't care. As I said, she is a good masseuse. She just needs to read her own signage about supporting small businesses. The key to making them work is customer service, and that doesn't start with an angry customer.
