Tantra Aveda Spa

It took me a couple of calls to get an appointment that worked with my schedule, but I was happy when it did. Both my massage therapist and esthetician thoroughly listened to what I was hoping to get out of the experience and the services were great. The spa itself is warm and cozy, with a lovely little sun room full of plants and a nice little shop. Definitely will return.

Although I arrived late for my appointment, I do not think that my tardiness should be an excuse for the treatment I received. Upon arriving at the establishment for the first time I was greeted by a woman yelling at me from the top of the stairs as I was coming up about how I was late and basically how my service will not be good because of me being late. I apologized to her and asked her nicely if there was anyone else who could do the massage because she seemed so angry with me or if I could just reschedule because I did not want to cause any conflict. This woman had not even introduced herself to me when she then told me that she was not angry but that she was just letting me know and continued to guide me to the back. After she asked me where my problem area was, and I told her it didn’t matter because I just got out of the hospital so she could do anything she again came with very negative energy towards me and I finally was so disturbed by this that I decided that I would rather leave than to have this angry woman touch me and bring me even more peace then I already have. I sadly had to forfeit my $50 for this appointment but just as a reminder that people look for places like this to bring them peace and relaxation, that is not at all what I received from the very second I walked into this establishment. I am not a rude confrontational person but the very last thing I want is for someone who is clearly visibly upset with me to provide me with any service where I am expected to find some relief. The interaction I had with this employee whom I still never got her name was so hurtful I would not want anyone to ever experience the treatment I did. I hope that she was able to show some sort of kindness to the next person she met, you never know what people are going through in their lives.

Been here multiple times and they great each time! I lost my gift card and they went above and beyond to help me find the number for it. Very nice, professional and very clean! I will absolutely be back!

This spa is so wonderful. I just had the best massage I've ever had. The facials are amazing, Yvette takes years off your face and you feel so relaxed afterward.

I have lived in Ferndale and have passed by this business for many years I've always wondered about it. I had a vacation to go on and didn't want to have to worry about razor rash so I booked a wax. Heather was great she had a warm way about her as well as very good at the task at hand. Will visit this place again.

I got the Self Renewal Facial with the scalp massage with Yvette and it was the greatest experience I’ve ever had in a facial. Everything she did had intention and meaning behind it and the products and techniques she used on my skin left me feeling absolutely great. The atmosphere was calming and and just what I need to feel both comfortable and relaxed. I’m looking forward to my next treatment with her already!

Cozy and charming place. My masseuse was a little chatty when i just wanted to close my eyes and relax, but it was a decent massage. It's an old building with drafty windows...i could hear the traffic on Woodward even though there was soft music playing.

The place was welcoming, calming, clean and peaceful. Ms Needra did an amazing job and look forward to the next massage.
