Renault Winery

This past Sunday our family went to enjoy Renault's Summer Sounds concert and celebrate my daughter-in-law's 21st Birthday. Due to the weather the concert was cancelled but that didn't stop the folks at Renault from letting us stay and enjoy our picnic with a few bottles of Pink Lady and their delicious Chardonnay. There were 12 of us total-- my son even brought their puppy who enjoyed himself and the attention of passers that couldn't get enough of his love. Hats off to the awesome tour guide, Brandon. It was very refreshing to see a young man that knows so much history, and enjoys sharing it with us. Definitely, recommend you visit with family, friends, and your puppy LOL you won't regret it.

So I initially went to Renault on 04/08/18 to look at possibly booking a wedding. There happened to be a bridal show going on but I was able to speak with a planner named lauran. She set me up with an appointment for the following Saturday, and advised me that the packages start at about 80$pp. The place was gorgeous, within my budget, and i wanted it. unfortunately.made the mistake of canceling tours with 4 other venues because I felt for sure this was it. I spent the week doing research etc and ON THERE WEBSITE they had a wedding package that was 84$, three entrees, color selection for napkins, etc. When we went on Saturday for the official tour, turns out the price is actually 104$ pp to start (not including liquor) , 2 entrees only, and an additional 900$ if I wanted my colored napkins. I was told I could remove stuff to bring down the price (literal only thing that could be removed was desert which only mad e a 90$ difference in total). Renault would not honor what was on there website, nor would they meet me halfway. I was told that the website package is from 2015, and there working on the website so what is on there is not correct. It is a shame that they are aloud to continue to false advertise on there website a price, and even tell you themselves that is where they start, yet when you sit down to talk to them the price jumps by 20$ per person along with additional fees. Will never go back here.

Enjoyed an off season, one night visit. It was a good deal. (package: Room,tour,wine tasting,brunch, and drinks). A cool place with a lot of character. It is filled with detail, and history. It wasn't perfect, it was dated, and in need of some repairs and upgrades, but charming. The hotel room was very clean and larger than average, but the mattresses were uncomfortable and we ran out of hot water in the morning. The Restaurant and bar was pretty good. Food was very, very good. The tour was great. The wine tasting was "blue collar" and not for you if you are a wine coconnoisseur, but still fun. The tour staff, and the hotel and restaurant staff were all excellent, and made the very best of everything. We were not disappointed and it was worth visiting.
