This place is canceled. I would like to start off by sharing that we have been patrons of Sharrott Winery since 2012 when we visited for a Valentines Day event using a living social. The atmosphere was casual and inviting. Since that time we’ve visited several times per year, each time bring more friends and creating new memories. In that time we have enjoyed tons of live music, puppies and dogs when they were allowed, and the beautiful scenery. It was something that was really special and something great to share. We came today to celebrate the accomplishments of friends and it will be our very last time. That all changed today. From the moment when walked in we were treated like trespassers instead of paying customers. We were badgered about if we wanted a tasting despite us asking Jennifer to please wait until the rest of our party arrived so we can decide. Once they did and we decided on doing the tasting we were informed that that the $10 cost of the tasting plus tax would include a glass. The tasting was fine and we decided to stay and enjoy some bottles on the patio. There was a group of us and we looked at a table in which a server RAN over to tell us that we could NOT combine tables. Well that’s funny since many other tables did such throughout the night. Overall we felt unwelcome and that the general demeanor was that we were not wanted. We ordered at least 10 bottles of wine, 5 cheese plates, and several bottles of water. Still we were treat in the most hostile and harsh way and it really hurts after many years of loyal patronage as we never visited other wineries. Unfortunately this place will never be visited again by myself or the other 12 members of our party which is sad as we loved supporting what seemed like a great family owned and operated business. Canceled.

I attended Sharrott’s wine festival 2018 yesterday and I encountered the most ridiculous “policy”.......Patrons cannot use the inside bathrooms during their festival unless your VIP for the day (spending $300+ for table service). Although being a member ( taking your money every 3 months) is not enough to use the inside restrooms. Unreal they should allow everyone to use the restrooms. Is this the way you treat your patrons???? Sharrott you need to get it together because this is not a good look for you! Being a patron since 2012 I Won’t Be Back!!! Good luck on you ratings!

Very expensive wine but typical of NJ prices. Quality was just ok if you like sweeter wines. Not .CA pricing or quality.

The grounds are beautiful, but service from some of the employees made the experience one for which I will not return. Joi was horrible. She had no interest in serving us and was very rude not only to us but to everyone that walked in. We were also surprised when we overheard a conversation between her and another employee who had answered a phone call. The customer on the phone was asking for a group reservation. Joi was visibly upset (prob that she would have to do some actual work) and told the person on the phone to call back mon-fri - Instead of being helpful. If you can’t meet the request take a message and be polite on the phone. Just plain be polite. You’re working in a service industry. Leave all your baggage at the door and try not to ruin everyone else’s experience.
