Dr Stein is fantastic! She really took the time to discuss options with me and genuinely cares about her patients. Highly recommend her for anyone interested in a provider who takes the time to get to know them and find the best options for their individualized care.

Dr. Stein is undoubtedly the best doctor I have ever been to! I started seeing Dr. Stein 2 years ago for mold related illnesses. The first step in treatment is removal from the moldy environment, however, for the first year I was unable to do this. Dr. Stein’s patience with me and my situation meant so much to me, as this was the darkest time in my life. I could not have gotten through it without her unwavering support. Dr. Stein has been through similar experiences as her patients, and I believe this is what makes her such an exceptional doctor. Not only is she highly knowledgeable, but she provides a level of care and compassion that is almost impossible to find these days. Given Dr. Steins similar journey, she is able to be that beacon of hope her patients so desperately need. I would not be where I am today without Dr. Stein! I went from having nearly 50 symptoms and spending my days either in bed or on the couch to now having only a couple symptoms and being active all day. I sat on whether or not I wanted to post this but I think it's vital to other people that are unwell. I came to them at first virtually decently stable for the first time in my life working,hiking,gaining weight but I got the idea to "treat" in fear of my future. They started by taking my babesiosis that I at the time had close to no symptoms of out of dormancy I didn't know much about treatment or that dormancy is the best you can be. They stopped the treatment within two weeks and I got so bad I truly believed I could die. I had to be rushed by ambulance from tachycardia and severe full body tremoring I would go nine days no sleep I was getting extremely bowel sick and would gag when eating a bunch of things came out of hiding I lost 16lbs in two weeks.The suffering was immeasurable they were incompetent with after care. By the time I was able to get more care from them in person I dealt with a condescending attitude and rude behaviour not from my initial doc there either my case was shared it put a pit in my stomach. The office staff are kind and the people helping with IVs are also nice but I would never recommend them I got very ill in early October it is now the end of January and I am still fighting for my life. Tick borne diseases are tricky and dangerous the lack of empathy from the head person was bizarre I was a guinea pig to them my quality of life is truly horrible now I would urge anyone seeing them to be mindful of their goal. I was coerced to move to town after this happened for "aggressive treatment" even though they would not explain what that was .I was in Portland to receive care for a month in and out of emergency and new doctors to save me I only saw them twice that month being told to take gluthathione and some salt as if that would get me back to where I was. Don't make the same mistake I did.

We found Restorative Health Clinic and Dr. Stein 3 years ago when my 16-year old daughter began experiencing some extreme and baffling health issues. With a methodical, yet thoughtful approach, Dr. Stein began the difficult work of careful symptom review, precise lab ordering, targeted treatments, and attention to response in order to discover the root cause. Her intuitive knowledge of complex medical conditions, coupled with an openness to our needs and requests eventually led us to a path of clarity and healing. We are forever grateful to Dr. Stein for her empathic approach, patience and diligence in working with us and meeting my daughter right where she was at each appointment. My daughter has her life back again and we largely have Dr. Stein to thank for that.

Dr. Mader is great. I am so grateful for the help I am getting. Without it, I don't know where I would be. Very personable. I don't feel like a number and I don't have to repeat who I am, my history, etc. every appointment.

So lucky to have found Restorative Health Clinic and Dr. Stein. It is incredible what can happen when you have a doctor that takes the time to listen, research and holistically assess your overall health. When I began my journey with Restorative I had a multitude of symptoms, unrelenting chronic pain, fatigue and more. I am feeling so much better and more like myself every day and I wouldn't be here without them!

When I started with Restorative Health Clinic of Portland about two and a half years ago I was in a terrible physical and emotional state. After 4 other naturopaths, acupuncture and eastern medicine I was in terrible pain and sick every day with no energy. I was promised that this clinic was very good at puzzles, and that I was. After crying at each visit for months, the program that I was put on started to come to life as I did. I still deal with pain and other items however at this time of my life at almost 68 years old I am better than I have been in many years physically and emotionally.

Restorative Health Clinic RHC basically saved my life. Before I found RHC and their amazing staff, I was in so much pain from years of debilitating neuropathy in my legs and feet. I was going to PT 3 times a week, acupunture once a week and chiro twice a week with zero improvement. My primary care doctor essentially said there's nothing else we can do for you. It's probably "just" fibromyalgia. After a week or so of utter disbelief and sadness, I went on a hunt for a care provider that would take the time to get to know me, my WHOLE medical history and work with me to get to the root cause of my chronic pain and fatigue among other things. Two weeks later, I came across RHC and made an appt. Within weeks, I was seen, tested and trying new treatments. Within four months, I found out what no doctor in 28 years had been able to diagnose. I immediately started treatment and within 6 months my debilitating neuropathy was gone. I'm on the tail end of my treatment...hoping to be in remission by the 3 year anniversary of my diagnosis. I know with the incredible care of every since member of the RHC team that this goal is within reach. Dr. Melanie Stein is incredible. I can't begin to say enough about her. She is an amazing wealth of knowledge and has trained alongside some incredible mentors. She is committed to her patients. She takes the time they need to feel heard, seen and valued. She works hard to make sure the staff she surrounds herself with has the same approach. Everyone in the office is amazing! Celesta, the IV nurse, is literally an angel sent from above. Trygve, the MA, is always there ready to assist. Joshua, the administrative leader, is super responsive and helpful. Dr. Simeles is amazing as well! She works with my daughter and we love her. In addition, they are all kind, compassionate and fun. All I know is that in my decades of searching for answers, I have never felt valued. I have always felt like a burden to the medical professionals I have seen. When I think about how well I've been taken care of at RHC, I want to cry. It's how everyone should feel anytime they receive medical care. I highly recommend RHC to anyone searching for the medical care they deserve. <3

The Restorative Health Care Team is the VERY BEST I’ve ever encountered in 40 years of dealing with healthcare professionals and support staff. They are attentive, super easy to work with, FRIENDLY, attentive, compassionate, informative, and really do seem to care about the wellbeing of the patient. Communication is optimal between Doctors Dr. Vy Simeles, support staff Joshua and Trygve , and patients. No surly, dismissive or condescending attitudes the basic standard from these awesome people. I have never gone more than a day or two without a reply to my inquiries. They are true professionals and operate as a great team! This is the way a healthcare clinic should be— creating a safe, easy and supportive atmosphere for healing!! ‍ PS: I spend an inordinate amount of time in healthcare/medical settings and I never leave reviews for anybody. That’s how impressed I am with them.
