I recently moved to New Orleans and found my ideal yoga studio in both of Free to Be's downtown and Metairie locations. All of the teachers have been amazing, the classes are both beginner friendly and challenging, and both studios have a shower available - making it easy to sneak in my yoga before work! Cannot say enough about this studio!
I’ve been coming to classes at Free To Be downtown for almost 6 months, and it’s become an invaluable part of my routine. The teachers are wonderful and the practice allows me to gain strength and endurance along with all other benefits of a regular yoga practice.
I have been a Free to Be member for over one-year now. I can’t say enough amazing things about this studio - I love the community I get from the owner, the teachers, and my other FTB-ers! I love the me-time I get with my practice and the encouragement from all those around me. Free to Be definitely crests the perfect space I need to feed my soul.
I love everything about FTB. The teachers are professional yet approachable, encouraging, and welcome all levels of experience. The studio is clean, pricing is affordable, and the schedule is consistent with many class offerings. The clientele and community at FTB is unmatched! After every class I leave invigorated and ready to take on the days challenges!
Great space downtown, and so many convenient classes to take throughout the day. I would recommend this studio to anyone wanting to find a great place to do yoga.
Great studio. Excellent instructors. Challenging flow for all levels. Good atmosphere.
Visiting from Sydney Australia for work for the week. I did multiple classes. I liked the space and the restorative yoga was especially great in the evening. Some teachers in the flow classes weren't really experienced and didn't demonstrate the poses, but they were all very nice and welcoming. This yoga space made my trip to New Orleans even nicer.
One of the best yoga experiences i've had! Instructors are great, clean studio, classes are good for all levels of experience. Highly recommend.
Hey there. I tried to take a class in this yoga studio last week during my short visit to nola. It was hard to get information about classes hours and prices. Went there twice. First time went upstairs and nobody was there. Not even a sign or a board with information for new students. Called but no one picked up. Second time I spoke with a instructor who was leading a class and kindly gave me and another person, who was there too, a verbal schedule and prices. But he was in the middle of a class. Sorry but I decided to go to bikram yoga a few block down. Namaste
This is an outstanding yoga studio. I was visiting the area but wanted to stay on track with my practice, so I bought the "weekender" option which is $50 for 3 classes on 3 consecutive days. I also noticed while I was there that you can go back for a second class on the same day for only $5. Mats are available free your first visit or $1 after that. They also have bathrooms, towel service and a good assortment of props. Do be warned - some of their classes are heated! I didn't realize going in so I was caught off guard a bit. My favorite class I took was the lunar flow. My favorite instructor was Olivia. At the end of the warm classes, the instructors come around with a cool eucalyptus towel for your face during savasana - bliss! If I lived in the area, I would definitely be a regular. This is a rare thing - a studio which is welcoming & unpretentious but somehow still clean and well organized. Check it out when you have a chance, you will be so glad that you did.
