Ricky's always has a good variety of makeup and hair dying products. I've been getting them there for years now. Some things are great prices and some things are a bit overpriced, so just be aware when making purchases.
I love the great variety of hair products here. The prices have gone up recently, but the prices on the bottles remained unchanged, so make sure you check with the staff for the correct price. With all the increase, you can still find really good deals. The staff was really helpful, i had great experiences every time i visited this store.
This is an adventurous store. They carry all kinds of crazy make up and stuff for your hair. It is a lot of fun shopping here. You will probably wind up with a lot of "stuff" that you probably do not really need. But it is fun. The prices are reasonable. And the staff is very friendly. A bit "off the wall".
I'm becoming a regular customer here, even though I live all the way in Flushing I often visit to replenish my supply of Pulp Riot hair color products. Because they are the only ones that sell this, I've been able to keep some pretty awesome colors and for a very long time. They always tend to have lines that I can't find in your regular run-of-the-mill beauty supplies in Queens, and sometimes for cheaper prices. It's a reasonably priced store with great stock and friendly, educated, helpful staff.
Good quality products. Has a good variety of hair products despite the fact of not having some classical brands. Also have other beauty products and umbrellas. Staff is friendly and helpful. Prices are ok.
I went in here wanting to strip the purple out of my hair to make it orange and the two women that helped me were so nice, I wasn’t sure what to get and they told me everything I needed and my hair came out EXACTLY how I wanted it too. Awesome costumer service!
Been to that particular location 3 times. No one ever greets you, no one offers assistance. They get a 0 from me in customer service. I've worked retail and customer service for many years and never had been to a store where they don't even acknowledge your presence.
The things they sell here are very useful and nice. The sex part of the shop was a little awkward the first time i went in. It made me laugh alot. its definitely not a place for younger kids. but they offer some good stuff
I love that they have so many different beauty products and Halloween supplies during the Halloween season, of course. They usually carry my favorite top coat for nail polish but this last time I went, they didn't have it at all. When I asked a cashier lady if they'll still carry it, she explained it may not be on shelves because they had to make room for the seasonal items. They have lots of body and hair care products as well. In the very back, the Revolver salon can basically still and color your hair however you want. I've had four different colors in my hair at one time they use Manic Panic. I found that makeup brushes here at Ricky's are limited to like two or three brands Morphe and Japonesque. They have makeup brands like NYX, LA Girl, and Inglot. As for nail polish, they have Essie, OPI, Floss Gloss, Ella + Mia, and some CND Vinylux.
I spent a lot of time at Ricky's during Halloween looking for a costume. Ricky's is a really good shop for Halloween stuff. They really go all out. The problem is that the costumes only go up to a certain size and for me I am one size bigger. There are lots of props, wigs, and makeup to choose from. You can get creative and end up with a great costume.
