Terrible store all around. Especially the pharmacy. No matter how long a line the lazy staff walk really slowly. Every time I make the mistake of ordering here I remember. Convenience isn’t always convenient.
Not enough cashiers, long wait time to pay. No assistance in getting locked-up items, associates say they do not have the key. Customers walking out because they can't get the items they need. As this is an extra large high-traffic store with high theft rate there should be more employees! When I asked to speak to a manager I was told he quit and was not replaced.
I use to goto this Rite aid all of the time pre pandemic. After things got a bit back to normal, they just had so many negative changes with the store from the left entrance side of the store which contains groceries, snacks, beverages, beer always being closed by like 6:30 it feels like, even when open in the morning/afternoon a small paper sign at the cashier telling you to purchase it on the right side which would make the only line hell. They also started locking the beer/alcohol section and installed a bell so that a worker would hear it and come unlock it for you, the thing is the worker would take about 5-10 rings and time. These are all things that negate a new yorker from even wanting to set foot here. I rather goto the deli across the street and be in and out. Not surprised its closing down soon, management seems like it really dropped the ball with these things.
This store got soooooo big, alot of things you may need will b there. I happen to need toothpaste and toothbrush. They were on sale and got both for the price of one. Need to check this store more often.
The new change to lock most products up in the store makes shopping so difficult and frustrating, I now hate shopping here. The buttons you have to press to call for items to be unlocked are for the most part small, unmarked and hard to find. They also don't seem to actually function because no one will come when pressed no matter how long you wait. This leaves you to go around the store to see if what you actually need is available, then go find someone with keys, wait for them to be available, then take them around the store to open the locks for you to get the products you need. It is the most frustrating and time consuming system. If you're going to lock things up, then resolve the issues with the call buttons and hire staff dedicated to answering the calls to unlock products. The store is understaffed as it is.
This Rite Aid is very big, clean, well stock, staff/cashiers are very friendly, helpful.
I needed one item and both self checkouts did not work. No staff ever came to help. So we had to wait on line for a long time. I told the cashier that nobody helped and he didn’t even answer me. Terrible customer service.
Truly awful customer experience -- the store consistently has no air conditioning in the summer, huge portions of the store's goods are behind locked cabinets so you have to ring and wait, and there are often long lines because the store is understaffed. Whenever possible, I shop at the Duane Reade at 82nd and Roosevelt instead.
People from the pharmacy are very rude, very incompetent and not willing to help. Very bad customer service. People should be trained to treat everyone right and nicely, this is very unacceptable.
Sheri always cares about the customers and has time to listen to them and she very easy to approach to ask her questions
