River's End Tackle

I've been buying my gear here for years. Everytime I and anybody walks in their greeted with good vibes and knowledgeable staff. Q and Joe has helped me so much over the years. From showing me how to tie knots all the way to teaching me how to build my own rods. Yes gear might be cheaper at the Big C store up in East Hartford but the staff and knowledge are well worth a visit. Plus their new mascot Hunter is super cute.

Rivers end is one of my favorite baitshops. I do a lot of saltwater fishing, and their bait is the best around the area. They also host tournaments like the bluefish tournament, and are very knowledgeable about fishing. They also post a report on the outside of the building so u can drive up and see what's been reported for fish trends.

Every time I go there I end up dealing with very rude people. I dont know why there is always an issue. I dont want to call the race card, but when ever non ethnic people are there they are nice to them. I have been left waiting while people who just came in get service right away. I dont go there as long as I can avoid it. It simply isn't worth dealing with the rude nasty attitudes of the new owner and employees.

Great bait an tackle shop! Customer service friendly had helped with every need. There selection was really great. They have lots of baits that you usually have to order and wait.

Super helpful guy behind the counter! Not sure if he was the owner, or a longtime employee, but he was very knowledgeable and helped me pick out the gear I needed and even wound the line on the reel I bought. Drastically better experience here than my usual experience at fishing stores (outside Connecticut) where new customers are often viewed with a mixture of suspicion and condescension. People here are super friendly and overall it was a very positive experience.
