Dr. Springs will truly be missed he is the very best Dr. That I've ever had. And since I've been going to him he is truly a caring Dr. & his staff. He hasn't been opened since Covid19 broke out. And they were planning on reopening but it doesn't look like It's going to happen. I just hope that every one of his patients finds another great Dr. Like him.
I went to see Dr. Springs because I have joint aches and stomach pains and patches of hair-loss. He said it sounded like I have TB, but I didn't have a fever, cough, weight-loss, or any of the typical symptoms. He tested me for TB, when I came back clear, then he decided I should get a blood test. It took a week for the results to get back to the office; I called every other day and for a whole week I was told my results are in but the doctor hasn't looked at them and that my results are abnormal but I couldn't come in for another three weeks because they're booked. That is wrong, to have a front desk worker tell me that my results are abnormal but the doc hasn't even looked at them. I went in the first thing on a Friday morning to get my results. He went over them in the office and said I was "young and healthy" and there weren't any problems and to just take Tylenol for pain. I felt this pain every day and it was affecting my life, so I took my results to two other doctors that said they couldn't believe that Dr. Springs dismissed my results because my white blood cell count was outrageous. Even the form my results came back on said "Abnormally High" next to my white blood count. After two visits at another doctor I found out that my symptoms are due to two serious issues that I am receiving weekly treatment for now. I regret that I even wasted three visits with Dr. Springs and that he told me I was fine when I clearly had results that proved otherwise. What if I had a serious infection that could spread to others? He dismissed my symptoms and talked over me when I would tell him what was going on. Please do yourself justice and see someone else. I feel bad for people that don't know otherwise and can't afford anywhere else. Don't waste your time here. Also, the doctor is very rude. He asked an interpreter to come into the room to speak Spanish. I don't have an accent, I was born here, English is my first language and I am bilingual in Spanish. He said I should have an interpreter in there just in case. Uhh, why? Because my last name is Ramirez?
My experience with Dr. Spring was a terrible one DO NOT GO HERE! I made an appointment for 10:00 AM and arrived at 9:40, my initial thoughts were, wow this is sorta sketch but hey I decided to follow through. After waiting 45 minuets after my appointment was slotted to start I was taken by a nurse to get my blood pressure and height ext, the room where this was performed was very dirty and I did not feel safe with with the medical equipment that was being used. I then waited another 15-20 minuets in the exam room for Dr. Spring to visit. Once we were in the room together he performed a very basic preventive care physical examination and then left. He was grumpy and very difficult to talk to. After another 15 or so minuets the nurse came back and gave me a 'used' urine cup to deposit a sample. I say used because the seal for sanitation was broken so it was obvious that this sample vial had been used before, VERY GROSS. After the urine sample, I was instructed to lie down on a blanket in a back room for a cardio graph, the blanket had hairs on it! It was clear very little care is taken for cleanliness at this office, the entire visit time for a basic preventive care physical was over an hour and a half. After my visit I was prescribed a medication which I went to the pharmacy to pick up. I was denied pick up because apparently the doctors office needed to authorize the medication. After multiple phone calls and two days, I got the medication authorized. But my insurance would not cover the full price of the medication leaving me high and dry with a price of $270 per fill. Which is too expensive for me to manage as it would be for most people. After contacting my insurance I found out a generic version of a slightly different medication is available for $60 a fill, still expensive but manageable. I contacted Dr. Spring with a request for the different medication which I can afford and guess what, I got a big fat middle finger right in my face and a referral to a different doctor. My experience with Dr. Spring was terrible, PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE, you will not be satisfied with the quality of care or feel like you have a doctor who cares. I rarely write reviews on here but I had to make an exception in this case, I hope my experience is helpful. Thanks, Erik
I adore this place. Yes, the facilities are run down. That's the only negative AT ALL. Dr. Springs and his PA's have been nothing but kind and helpful to me - medical issues that I've had for YEARS have been actually treated here. They always take the time to listen and never make me feel rushed. They're very good at coordinating care with specialists and try to handle as much as they can at their office. If you're looking for spacious, impeccable office conditions this may not be your place, but if you really want to be treated with dignity and respect especially as a Medicaid patient, this is the place to go. I've worked in healthcare for 13+ years and have never found a primary care office that I've loved more. I also posted this to their main office Google location, Federal Healthcare PC.
Can you give less than one star? I went in to speak with a general practitioner about back pain. From the start I was concerned about the professionalism of the place just by taking a look at it, it's run-down, poorly maintained and overall disgusting. I'm not expecting to walk into the Bellagio, but there's hole's in the doors, handwritten notes taped to the walls, and it's dirty. I decided to stay for my appointment, unfortunately the doc wasn't much better, he didn't establish any camaraderie or express any interest in our limited dialogue. I also felt as if my concerns were being discredited without anyone really listening to me. To top it off the front office gave me little to no information regarding my next steps, and when I called in for details the best answer they could give me was they were still processing my referral 4 business days later and that this stuff 'takes time' with no ball park estimate or any useful information.
My daughter Kayla who is 25 years old has been a patient of dr. Robert Springs for 6 years. we don't ask much of him except for the deprovera shot as her condition requires her to see specialist so what I'm about to tell you there is no excuse none whatsoever for his behavior.she is disabled and on Social Security disability and we visited his office today in order for her to receive her deprovera shot. I waited for her outside and when she arrived outside she was completely hysterical and expressed to me that doctor Springs actually stood up and got within inches of her face screaming at the top of what lungs he has left at her for no real apparent reason she was confiding in him about the problems that she has been having due to her severe scoliosis and kyphosis for which she needs to have a Harrington rod placed, a very serious surgery. when she asked him if he remembered that she was disabled and needed the surgery he replied "why would I remember any of that and what do you want me to do about it" this doctor is approximately 80 years old and it is time that he retire. we will never return to his office again even his staff was shocked at his behavior you could hear him screaming through his entire office. his office manager even went and spoke to him about what had occurred and although we did not hear the results accept shethe office manager followed us outside and apologized for his behavior. just the fact that she felt she had to confront him about it speaks volumes do not go to this old man he is grumpy and incompetent.
I am a RN. Is all I needed was a simple referral. I found out this past Friday I would be needing surgery. I gave them two days of open office ours to get it done. Called today Monday and they were unsure if they would be able to complete that this week. Can't schedule an appointment until the referral script is sent....How hard is it to send in a fax?
I have had very good care here. I see Stephanie and she takes the time to know your, present, and helps with prevention of future illness. And yes everyone is very nice there!!!! ™
Dr.Springs and Corina are the Best!
