Roberto's Woodwind Repair Shop

When I’m in NYC, I always stop by Roberto’s Winds. I love the friendly atmosphere and music banter I crave. There is such a wealth of experience that Roberto, Nick and their gang of experts are willing to share when I’ve got questions on gear whether big or small. I am totally hooked on Roberto’s own line of reeds. They have provided me that consistency of the best premium brands. Nick worked with me to find the optimum strength that works for my setup! I’m a fan.

By far one of the best sax shops across NYC. Such a dope atmosphere. The staff are super friendly and their customer service skills are amazing. They have plenty of gear for you to try and fair prices for what you’re getting. Recently I even got my mouthpiece refaced and it feels better than ever. If you’re in town or a sax player based in NYC check them out!!!

Despite living in Rio de Janeiro, I had the opportunity to visit Roberto's Winds in New York a few times to buy in the store and I'm used to buying its reeds online. It's my favorite store to buy sax accessories. It's impossible for me to be in New York without visiting Roberto's Winds.

I I live in Colombia, and I went to Roberto's Winds, a few years ago by the recommendation of saxophonist Michael Blake, it was one of the first times I was in NY and I went to buy my Yanagisawa metal mouthpiece, which I still use today. A couple of years later I bought my bass clarinet there, and since a couple of years ago every time I can I buy Roberto's reeds, I love the sound and quality of the reeds, super recommended! I recently ordered the RW Superior Leather Neck Strap and I love it, it is really comfortable and I feel the difference with the strap I used before. The times I have been able to go in person the attention is special, they are very kind and attentive. And Roberto himself has attended me a couple of times, he is always helpful and gives the best attention. I would like to live in NY just to be able to go to Roberto's every week.

By far the best woodwind shop in the East Coast. Roberto and his crew are legendary, and his assortment of saxophones and accessories is simply the best. Ive been going there for nearly 20 years and it will continue to be my one stop shop. Thanks Roberto!

Last time I was there was a decade ago, but still sticks in the mind as one of the best saxophone shops in existence. Have ordered products online since, all great with great customer experience. Live across the country but will always track this joint and will 1000 always be back when possible

Some saxophone shops in the city only have time for big name clients and big name vintage instruments. The always pro staff at Roberto's have time for everyone from a Marsalis to me. They have always been kind, informative and helpful when it comes to making sure my horn is in its best shape, and are just a great and personable bunch to talk shop, current events, or even Mets baseball with! Love these guys and the family approach they bring to the industry - Roberto and his crew will always be my guys.

Most definitely the go to shop for your woodwind needs, especially saxophones. I bought a Roberto's label pro tenor sax without first playing it. Didn't matter. It arrived professionally adjusted and stays that way. Also if you're into nostalgia, a visit to his shop is a real treat.

Over the years I have purchased three saxophones from Roberto, and I love each of the horns I bought. Plus, on any given day you might spot one of the top players on the planet . . . .
