I recently saw Dr. Jeppsen here for an annual eye exam and had a wonderful experience. The staff were all friendly and provided efficient but thorough care. Their recommendations were honest and practical - no hidden fees or trying to sell special products. Plus, they gave me two year prescription! I won't need to return for a while, but will definitely be back when I do!
When it comes to your eyes things can get scary. Loved Doctor Peterson, Ryan and his team! They are awesome! They were knowledgeable and very calming since I was anxious. These are My eyes after All! Vision is soooo important! I'll go there again if I need too!
Dr Petersen and Dr Howells are great doctors. We had a hard time finding a prescription for my daughter’s glasses with the first dr we visited but Dr Petersen quickly found exactly what she needed. My daughter has had her glasses for 2 years now and is doing great. The staff and doctors are great with kids. They know how to make my daughter feel comfortable and take the time to answer any questions I have in a professional and kind manner. So happy to have found great eye doctors.
I am so grateful I was referred to Dr. Petersen here. We found out My 20 month old daughter is far sighted and had strabismus. I was extremely worried about the surgery but it went perfect! Her recovery time was so short and she had minimal pain. I’m so grateful my baby can see normally now without strain. The whole entire staff is also so great with her when she goes in. I definitely recommend!
Dr. Peterson and Ryan are wonderful! They make my daughter feel like a superhero every time we go in. They are very experienced in what they do. They do a good job explaining what's going on, test results, and what to expect in the future. They also do a great job motivating my daughter with her pat h and glasses. The staff there are great to work with as well in scheduling appointments and making payments. Thank you Rocky Mountain eye care!
I waited almost two months to be assisted by one of their doctors. Getting there, I waited almost 2 hours in the waiting area so the doctor could see my daughter. While in the doctors office, he took less than 8 minutes to examine her and tell me she had nothing. We went there because her pediatrician thought she might have astigmatism and asked us to test. She ended up having nothing. After spending hours calling insurance, calling them, I was sure they accepted my insurance and I would not need to pay for the full amount. After a few weeks a huge bill gets to my house, for less than 10 minutes with a "specialist doctor". This establishment overcharges and is super crowded. I am never going to this place again, the value they charge does not correspond to the quality of their services.
I heard good things about Dr Peterson. However, front desk was rispid and not patient at all. Long story short, after so many question about insurance she said the next available appointment is in about 2 months. Definitely they need to improve customer service there. If English is not your native language I don't recommend giving them a call.
We started seeing Dr Peterson when our son was 3 or 4. They discovered one of his eyes wasn’t being used and through patching they completely corrected his vision. We are so happy with Ryan and Dr Peterson and what they were able to do to help our son. We still see them regularly and they feel like family. I highly recommend Rocky Mtn Eye.
The doctors and staff are very helpful and friendly. My whole family goes here for their eye care and we have always had a good experience. People need to know their insurance policy and not expect the office to know the policy; there is no way they could know everyone's policy as everyone's policy is different. It is the patient's responsibility to know their policy and what is covered and what is not. There is a sign in their waiting room that states they are not providers of vision plans. S Terry
Dr. Petersen is great, but unfortunately, the office's billing practices are atrocious. Took my son in because his sister's eye cross and several doctors urged me to bring him in as well because it runs in families. Took him in for the first visit and paid the copay. Then, I received a bill saying that the procedures were not covered. After calling back and forth and wasting lots of precious time between the insurance company and the provider's office, I discovered that the visit should have been covered because it turned out he was farsighted and therefore had a medical condition and therefore it was not a routine visit. Now, mind you, even though it was covered it still made me pretty upset to know that if he hadn't been farsighted it would not have been covered, even though it was the exact same visit and even though there was no way for me to know beforehand what the outcome would be. Fast forward to our next visit. I was told to take him in again to have his eyes checked, since they change so much at that age. Once again, after the visit I receive a hefty bill! This time, after wasting more time a week before moving out of the country, mind you! and going back and forth with the provider and the insurance co, I still end up saddled with a bill, because this time his eyes had happened to improve! So, basically, if his eyes were worse something there was no way for me to know beforehand it would have been covered, but since they weren't I get a big bill. I blame both the provider and the insurance co equally on this one because the provider should be on top of informing the patient when they are about to do a procedure that I may be billed for they're the only ones who know what procedures they're doing and because they do have some flexibility in what codes they use to send to the insurance company and with a little care this could have been avoided. I'm moving out of the country anyway, but even if I weren't I would never go back to this office. I never had this problem with our old provider. Medical provider HAVE to start caring about the cost of procedures and quit acting like price is not an issue for their patients! We are dependent on YOU to not be doing procedures willy nilly regardless of the cost to the patient!!!
