Rooks Barbershop

I couldn't be happier about the service from Megan at Rooks. I went in a little nervous, as I've rarely had good experiences when trying to get a more masculine hair cut as I tend to be perceived as female. And I wanted to try something I've never done before, having figured out that the search terms "man bun undercut fade" give results that match what I want, and if possible I wanted some sort of design cut into the fade. Megan put me at ease and was really wonderful to work with. She understood what I was going for, helped me figure out how high up to go, started conservative and then got my input on whether or not to go higher, and then did a great design in the fade. It looks and feels fantastic, is exactly what I hoped for, and I wish I could come back regularly but I live in San Francisco.

I've been coming to see Megan for a few years now and I always get awesome service and a great haircut. She also gives a quality shave and takes the time to make sure that you get what you're looking for. A highly recommended true barber shop experience.Services: Beard trim

I recently moved closer to downtown and have been trying to find a decent barber. I saw Eddie 10/24/18 and he did an amazing job! I am very particular about how my hair is styled and cut due to having thick coarse hair. Eddie took his time with cutting my hair. He made sure that I was satisfied with what I was receiving. I noticed that he probably goes above and beyond with most of his customers as the guy before me asked for changes at the end of his cut and Eddie was glad to accommodate and even said that he could text you the cut/style so that you have it for future reference. Since moving and my old barber leaving their shop, I've struggled to find a good replacement. Honestly, I will definitely come back because I enjoyed the service, atmosphere, and vibe. Update 1/24/19 - been here a couple more times and still stand by the great atmosphere and barbers. Definitely worth the time and money to pay a visit to this shop.

Just passing through Portland, needed a haircut. This place gives relaxed vibes, good conversation, fair prices, great haircuts. Highly recommend. Had my cut with Dustin got me that clean fade I was looking for.

Very happy to see a Rooks location downtown. Much easier to get to than than the other ones considering I go to work/class downtown anyway. This location is awesome. There are 3 chairs available, but only two people were there when I came by. MAKE A RESERVATION ONLINE. Megan cut my hair and did an awesome job. The price is a little steep $27 for a cut but they really make sure you leave with a cut you'll like. The hot towel neck shave at the end is always something I'll prefer when it comes to a barbershop experience vs a cut from a friend or god forbid a franchise like great clips. Trust me, you'll get what you pay for here. Plus there's a complimentary drink while you wait or are getting a haircut beer, soda, juice, etc.. Depending on who you get a cut from, they know how to keep a conversation if you're comfortable with it. If you just wanna get a cut and relax, that's fine too. Check these guys out, they do a fantastic job. The worst that will happen is you'll walk out with a GREAT haircut.
