We are in DC as tourists, and let me just start off by saying: if you are looking for some amazing Spanish food for a really reasonable price, this is, by far, the place to go to. We were served with exceptional service. The food came out very well presented, and the food was as good as it looked. The sauces were amazing. This was also my favorite meal in DC. Come here on your trip. It will 100% be worth it. I ordered the pollo abogado, and gosh it was the best decision I made. I have absolutely zero complaints!
OK mexican, a little over priced. The food was fair and the service was OK. The fresh gaucamole was good, and I would recommend it. The rest of our meal was so so though. The servers maintained a reasonable attitude, but the lady at the front whom I assumed to be the manager had a fairly rude air to her. Largely because of her I would never recommend dining here. When management take that kind of attitude rather than being courteous and helpful something is very wrong.
I was craving for some Mexican delicacies and I happened to go here after checking the ratings. Unfortunately it's not the authentic mexican but you can definitely grab a bite. I felt it was a but pricey. The quantity is super small, please make sure you order enough. I felt a bit overly rated based on my experience. Servers are quick and easy. Food comes out fast and hot too. Overall location is good, taste is average considering Rosa the NAME.
Well I was very disappointed. I go to a lot in NYC. Here the bartender didn't even acknowledge us when we walked and sat down. He was worrying more about saying About saying goodbye to his regulars customers. Then the new people who came in and set down. Then the food took about 25 minutes long. He didn't even notice that I hadn't any there was no place mat or napkins. I had to get my own from opposite side of the bar. The Managers were all walking around an empty restaurant in a daze. Actually took care of a regular customer to explain how they were still making changes. At this point I asked for the bill. It was all I could take plate or silverware. I had to get next over. And even offer chips and salads. There are other things too. Manager didn't ever noticed. Talking more about the redesign with and regular.
Amazing food and incredible drinks. We had.the nachos with braised beef and were super impressed. It was small but everything tasted amazing and super fresh. The pomegranate margarita packs a punch but that could be because I was dehydrated walking around DC all day.
Food was tasty and well textured. But portion sizes were smaller than expected. Environment inside the restaurant is pleasant and design and art inside are unique and creative.
One of my favorite restaurants in DC. Everything I've ordered here is fantastic, well thought out, balanced and authentic. From the chips and salsa and guacamole, to any entree or side like their delicious elote, Rosa Mexicano is a cut above. It doesn't end there though, the service here is truly exceptional. I have always been welcomed like family by the staff. They never miss a beat and are magically on hand refilling your water, replacing a dropped napkin, or getting anything else you may need, yet remain unobtrusive. Eating here is a special experience that goes far beyond simply getting something to eat.
The food was good and their was endless refills of chips and salsa, which is always a plus but I thought the food was extremely overpriced and some of the dishes were portioned small. Beans and rice were not provided per plate but a small bowl was provided for the table. The atmosphere was nice but was quite loud, you had to almost yell to talk to the people at your table.
We reserved a table using the OpenTable app and were seated early and by the window. Our waiter was attentive and checked on us repeatedly. I had a mojito, the tableside guacamole  guacamole en molcajete, tres enchiladas and the flan de rosa. All of it was tasty and the food arrived promptly. The tres enchiladas were excellent as you get a sample of three different sauces. The restaurant has a bar and bar seating to the left upon entry, the host stand to the right. The ceiling are high which provides an open feeling. Large windows surround the restaurant proving much to look, at and nice lighting. It is conveniently located across the street from the Capitol One Arena, and the Gallery Place Metro station.
Best guacamole and strong margaritas. There is outside seating in this location. The bartenders are friendly and helpful. The great thing was I came here on a Saturday evening and they had more than one bartender available. Get the pineapple jalapeño margarita, shrimp tacos and quesadillas. You won’t be disappointed.
