Update- Company did send a sales rep to meet with me and my principal.
Company did give us a small refund of overall bus cost. Billy Rae was a pleasure to work with and was extremely nice and helpful. I have moved my review of 1 star to 4 stars. I appreciate the companies willingness to re-evaluate the situation.
ATTENTION TEACHERS OR TRAVEL AGENCIES LOOKING TO BOOK A TRIP!!!
I would give zero stars if that were possible. I’ve waited to write this review until after our trip and until after I spoke with the company! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NEVER, under any circumstances, using Rose Transportation- especially if you want to travel with students!!! Our first driver was 2 hours late to pick us up, and wasn’t apologetic period. Response from company- “well sometimes people have bad mornings...” WHAT?!? Anyway, the second driver that drove us to the hotel got on the bus mic and told the students to not speak to him in the morning because he would be “at breakfast” and was not available to talk- who says that?? Then the next day the bus broke down before picking us up from the French Quarter that night. I had to navigate a group of almost 50 further away from the quarter to get on this new bus- a non Rose bus. The next morning, we had NO backup transportation until an hour after we were supposed to be heading to our swamp tour, which was an hour away. We missed half of our swamp tour. And our replacement driver told us that day that he would have to have us back to our hotel by 9:45— the night were were supposed to have our dinner cruise!!! Good thing there was an oil spill in the Mississippi and we couldn’t actually do that!! The next day, the Rose bus that picked us up had foot prints on the ceiling, gum in the seats, and smelled horribly!!! The only offer from the company was to give us a “small” discount for our next trip with them— not happening.
I want to make it clear that I never really complain. I understand that buses break down. The company said that they did a “wonderful job” for us and only briefly apologized about not communicating to me. When I questioned about the rude drivers, I was told “well everyone has bad days and things happen to put people in a bad mood.”—- I just find this to be completely unacceptable! Please go with Holiday Tours or Burke Christian Tours- I've had great experiences with both!!
Hopefully this will save someone the pain I had to go through on this trip!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Rose transportation was awful. The drivers were rude. The bus was 2 hours late to pick us up and the original bus broke down. On the way back they replaced the original bus with a dirty nasty bus that smelt awful. The original bus driver told us not to speak to him until he was on duty and was very rude. So STAY AWAY FROM THIS AWFUL COMPANY!

My highschool chorus group went on a trip to New Orleans and we chose Rose Transportation to get us there. On the first day of the trip, the bus was supposed to arrive to school at 6:30am so we could get on the road at 7am, but the bus driver didn't even arrive to school until about 8:15am. The bus driver was not apologetic in any way. We switched off bus drivers in Atlanta, and the second bus driver was rude and disrespectful. When we arrived at the hotel that night, he gave us a whole speech on how we were not to speak to him in the morning and to wait until he was "on the clock". The next morning, he briefly apologized for what he said the previous night, but it was clear that he still didn't care that he was rude. At the end of the day when we were ready to leave the French Quarter, we learned that our bus broke down. We had to wait nearly an hour for another bus company to pick us up, not to mention we had to walk around the city trying to find where it was going to pick us up. We still had all of our belongings on the Rose Transportation bus. We got them back, but it was still an unpleasant situation. This company needs to learn some respect, and learn how to accept the fact that they were wrong.

I am a student at a high school. Although I did not go on the trip this past week, I’ve heard very bad things about the service. The drivers were rude, buses were filthy, and drivers were late. On behalf of our chorus program we WILL NOT be using Rose Chauffeured Transportation!! Have a great day!

Worst experience ever. Do NOT use these people, especially if you are arranging/organizing a school field trip. Disorganization is rampant. Communication is nonexistent, and rudeness rules. Buses are filthy, drivers are condescending, and they have no concept of an itinerary. Buyer Beware.
