We ordered the Florentine omelette and French toast bites, the food was delicious. Our server was great but we had to wait over 30 minutes for our food. Giving it 4 stars because we had to ask a couple of times for our table to be cleaned properly from the previous customers.
Cute place. We swung by the morning we checked out of Pelham Hotel which is literally connected to it. There was a 30 minute wait before we were seated. I liked the fact that they had chicken sausage as an option since my best friend does not eat pork. The food was delicious and the biscuits were MASSIVE. Overall, I'd definitely come back c:
My wife and I went on a late Sunday morning around 11 AM so the wait was pretty long, BUT since it was a little bit chilly, and they had outdoor seating immediately available, we opted to sit outside so I cant comment on how long the wait would normally be. Glad we did this! We got warmed up with hot coffee and chocolate and it was no problem being out there. We ordered French Toast Bites as a starter and for our meals, my wife got the Gulf Shrimp Omelet w/ a side of fruit while I got the Chicken St. Charles Benedict. All the food was freaking delicious! Defiantly try to come out here for breakfast/brunch if you have the time, you won't be disappointed!
The food was really good but be prepared to wait 2-2.5 hours if you go on a Saturday like us. We got there at 10:30am and was seated at 12:30pm. I would suggest going before 9am or after 1pm because they only had a 30 minute wait before being seated. You can also "join the waitlist" the morning of as you are on your way. Once you arrive, go check in at the hostess stand. It helps to save your place. Again, we had French toasts meals and they were good.
I was really hungry this morning. This place hit the spot. I started with candied bacon, MUST GET!!!! I had the eggs cochon, basically eggs Benedict but with pulled pork and a biscuit. Everything was perfect. I loved it. My neighbor at the bar ordered biscuits and gravy. Coffee was also delicious. Dress is casual, staff is friendly and prices are fair.
Came to the Red Slippers café - recommended. Got here early before 9am, the wait wasn’t that bad Less than 10 minutes. Delicious and super filling… highly recommended , go for a long walk after. I know it was a little early but definitely get the Award winning Bloody Mary - totally worth it.
Good food - come early! Advertised to open at 7:30, but we arrived at 7:20 and the door was already open - we were the 3rd table to be seated. By the time we left, the place was packed! I did take off 1 star - the biscuits looked divine, but were actually room temp and seemed like had been cooked hours earlier, even though we arrived at opening. That was a bit disappointing. Our table had the Three Little Pigs Omelette, a bacon, egg, cheese breakfast sandwich, pancakes, and Shrimp & Grits.
Great food, great service! I got “the trifecta” and my husband got the sweet heat fried chicken and French toast bites. Both of us were blown away with our meals, it was pretty chilly but we opted to sit outside anyways to beat the long wait times and we didn’t regret it! We had great service outside, our waitress was Angelina she was great, so nice and checked in on us super often! We 100% can’t wait to come back!
We were looking for a nice Brunch Spot close to our hotel on Poydras St.and this placed popped up with good reviews and being around a ten to 15 minute walk. It is located at 200 Magazine St. - easy to find. The place was very busy but the staff seemed to have everything in order. The Hostess said it was a 20 minute wait and asked if we did online reservations. I said no as we were visiting from out of town. She said no problem and checked us in - saying we would be getting a text message when our table was ready. It wasn't even the full 20 minutes before we got the text. The Hostess that seated us was also nice. She placed us at a table for two that was away from the crowd but also convenient . We felt very safe. Our waitress Jasmin A was AWESOME!! She was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. She helped us pick exactly what we wanted- as the menu had so many great choices . We had orange juice, fried chicken sandwich with the toppings and fries- the white chocolate bread pudding pancakes with whiskey glaze - and chicken sausages. Everything was delicious Our total price not including the tip was $34.73. We can't wait to return.
1st tip: make sure you sign up on the wait list or you will be waiting a while! Even with the wait list we had to wait about an hour to be seated. Mimosas were delicious..French bites were more French croutons. The benedicts were delicious as well as the shrimp and grits. Good service too!
