I delivered my 4th with them. I am about to deliver my 5th and I am so calm because I had such an amazing experience before. They did not make me lay down in bed to deliver! Awesome! Thanks!

I just saw the negative reviews on here and could not believe it! I'm not sure who y'all saw because it certainly wasn't the staff that I see. Dr. Schmagel has been my doctor for both of my pregnancies and will be for my third now. She is phenomenal. Her nurses are fantastic. Everyone is kind, willing to help, make/keep you comfortable, and were always available right when I needed them. Their office is very clean, visually appealing, and non-stressful. Not a single complaint from me.

Rushmore obgyn did amazing job. I saw them for my prenatal and delivery of my two children. I saw several other obs in town but after being frustrated because they were not listening and did not care for my wants and desires for a natural childbirth I went to Rushmore obgyn. There they sat down and listened to all my concerns and questions and I was able to deliver two beautiful baby girls naturally with no meds with no pressure at any point to push me in another direction. The appointments was very accommodating. I love the whole staff

The staff is wonderful. The facility is great about keeping appointments on time and making sure all your questions are answered. I have always had a wonderful experience.

Had an abnormal PAP. Immediately asked for an HPV test since only 2 strains cause cancer so you only have to worry if you have those. They flat out refused, "we don't do that for people under 30." Insisted on a colposcopy and a biopsy. Surprise, biopsy results said it wasn't anything to worry about. Guess what their recommendations were? PAP smear in a year with an HPV test. I still wouldn't be 30. Wanted to know if they could schedule that now? No thanks. Not impressed with the money grab that was clearly not necessary. Also they fight hard again lidocaine usage even though it is now commonly used in OB/GYN practices in larger cities. Look up pain, colposcopies, and lidocaine usage before ever accepting "we don't do that" for an answer.
Also, Rapid City Regional employees: they do NOT play well with your insurance! They send out their samples to Lab Corp, so for the scenario above, looking at $340 bill from Lab Corp (billed separately) and $525 from this OB/GYN. Total from them alone was $917, our insurance covered $264. They wrote off $90. Will not negotiate lower. Good luck everyone.
