I've been coming here for over a year now and never regret a class. The instructors are highly motivated to get you energized and in the mood. The facility is kept very well and the staff is always super friendly. They take the time to remember you and make you feel welcome. Locker room is co-ed and the bathrooms it's is small.. only two showers and can get very crowded during peak as one class leaves and the next is getting ready to come. But still not something to keep me from coming back.
I have loved attending classes here! Each instructor I've had has been awesome. Clean facilities. Lockers to store your valuables. Fully stocked bathroom to get ready in, however they are pretty small and there is usually a line for the showers after morning classes. Overall very positive experience!
I tried this fitness class one night after work. The studio filled up quickly and they close the doors a couple minutes after class starts, so they are pretty strict about timing – which I always like. This cycling class was different from some of the others I’ve been to because it incorporated weights. I found the class to be very challenging, but also really fun. If it was at a lower price point, I would probably go more often. I really liked the energy the instructor brought. I prebooked my class, so my name was with the front desk already and check in was easy. The shoe rental area was seamless and easy. I would defiantly sign up for this class again!
The instructor was great, but the facility itself needs some work. There are only two tiny showers, so the wait in the morning can be long. The women showering needed to hold the curtain in place because the stall was so small it kept sticking to them. There also isn't a good drain, so once the showers start, the bathroom starts to flood a bit. During class, a good number of the bikes we're squeaking, which leads me to believe that they're in need of some work. Also the coffee for the "Brew crew" class was already sitting out before class started so it was quite old by the time you're leaving. Good for the price, but I'm still not sure it was worth it.
Andrew and Wayne’s Friday Tandem ride is a KILLER workout!! This was one of the most fun spin classes I’ve taken. These instructors are so full of energy and positive vibes, and their choreography makes the 45 minutes fly by! RYDE is a welcoming studio and compared to other boutique spin classes like SoulCycle, the vibe here is more down to earth and come as you are.
Overall, great studio! Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Not pretentious like other spin studios ahem SoulCycle. Facility is clean, location is convenient in Union Square and the instructors are entertaining and engaging. My issue is the class itself, which is important because that’s what you pay for. Bikes are old, not up-to-date like other studios, Swerve, who have digital and TV monitors so you can gage if you’re going at the right speed or not. Because of that, the class here is dull, you’re just spinning at different intervals for 45 minutes. You’re not really pushing yourself because there’s no score and not competing in a team. Maybe I’m just biased because Swerve is my go-to for spinning in NYC but if you’re going to get me on a stationary bike for 45 minutes, it should be more entertaining and challenging. Showers here are not great. Space is very tight. Lockers are outside the men’s and women’s bathrooms so don’t drop that towel if you’re at your locker. And only two shower stalls, so go quick after class if you don’t want to wait for one. Regardless, it’s worth going once awhile. I just wouldn’t get a monthly membership.
This is a solid place for a great spinning experience.I've taken a lot of classes here booked on Classpass! and had great workouts. The only thing I don't like about booking on Classpass is that I can't choose my bike and often end up on the side, which I don't really enjoy as much maybe they would let me choose if I ask, but I'm lazy I guess. The facility is super convenient and clean and they offer free shoe rental and earplugs, which I appreciate, although they don't play the music as mind-blowingly loud as some other studios. The locker room is co-ed, so don't forget and start changing there : They have two showers in the women's room with a small changing area and plenty of towels. I'll definitely be back if only for the sheer convenience and consistently good workout.
It's the little spin class that could. The instructors seem dedicated and there is plenty of variety, from road bike-oriented sessions, to theme rides, to the standard intervals and weights format. One of the better ventilation systems for studio cycling that I've experienced. Solid bikes with Schwinn power meters. Tiny locker room/showers. A bit more affordable than some bigger named competitors.
I took a spin class here and had a great time. The instructor pushed us hard and offered encouragement without overdoing it. The locker room facilities are a bit small, but everything is spotlessly clean.
The Body Ride is great. Good music. Nice staff. The co-ed lockers are a bit frustrating in the mornings when the shower area gets packed and you can't change in the locker area. Also, I wish the bike shoes were included like FlyWheel and Soulecycle.
