Orthopedic Surgery of the Hand and Upper Extremity
Dr. S. Steven Yang is an orthopedic surgery sub-specialist in the treatment of the upper limb. He is a Clinical Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the NYU School of Medicine and on the staff of NYU Langone Medical Center and the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases. He is Director Emeritus of the Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery Service of the Lenox Hill Hospital Department of Orthopedic Surgery. He is also on the staff of New York Hospital Queens.
Dr. Yang is a board certified general orthopedic surgeon with specialty training is in the treatment of musculoskeletal and neurologic conditions of the hand, upper extremity, and shoulder. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH). Dr. Yang has a Certificate of Added Qualification in Surgery of the Hand (CAQ). He is a member of the Performing Arts Medical Association.
Dr. Yang graduated from Yale University and attended the Duke University School of Medicine. He has a masters degree from the Harvard School of Public Health. An internship in general surgery and a residency in orthopedic surgery were completed at the Lenox Hill Hospital. Fellowship training in hand and upper extremity surgery was done at the Hospital for Special Surgery of the Weill Cornell Medical College.
