Found out these guys burned me years later. Several years ago safelite in ABQ installed a new windshield, but when they did they also glued it to my A—Pillars, which then ripped the upholstery now when Safelite of Flagstaff installed a new windshield for me. I was assured that I would be contacted by some high up person to remedy the matter but never was. The extra fun part was there was glue AGAIN from the newest windshield on the A-Pillars. So Safelite might replace your windshield but you’ll have to replace your ~$400 A-Pillar trim yourself when they’re done.
Left shards of broken glass everywhere, when he was unable to remove the original glass in one piece. Broke tabs on both sides of the trim inside the car. Left them undone as well as the cowl trim under the hood. There was black sealant fingerprints all over my interior as well. He should NOT be out on the job without supervision. Awful service. I'd hate it should I need to use the again. If I do, it will be at their shop.
I brought my truck in for a windshield replacement today. Dominic was my technician he was very friendly and helpful. The quality of the work was very good and efficient. They are practicing social distancing and everyone was wearing face masks. I truly appreciate a company that values the safety of their workers and customers. Thank you for a pleasant experience.
I had two of my windows on my SUV replaced, after my car was broken into. They did a good job with the windows but after everything was done my back door was unable to open, which wasn’t a problem because my insurance will cover that when I take it to get fixed. But at one point the technician thought he could fix that problem by hitting something against my door repeatedly, he left quite a few dents. It even looks like he tried prying the door open. Ill share a photo of when my car was broken into, you can see there was not dents. Id appreciate if a manager can get back to me about this.
Horrible service. I let them know my regulator was likely broken as well as my window when I made my initial appointment. Had to wait a week for my initial appointment. They didn’t bring a regulator to the appointment and then told me “oh we’ll call you to reschedule.” Took them several days to call me and tell me my insurance had approved the regulator and they would order the part. In the meantime I had tried to call them and ended up being routed through their National call center, having to find a different number than the one on their website to be able to talk to an actual human rather than a useless robot, and was hung up on twice with no information. Had to wait another week for a second appointment. My window was 12-4:30. Tech showed up at 4:45. After my appointment was finished, the tech then said “oh your regulator was not approved. You owe us $600.” I played the voicemail I had from Safelite saying it was approved and the tech called someone at the office to confirm. They claimed they called my insurance but then told me they were closed and gave me the phone number for a totally different insurance company. I ended up calling my insurance company after the tech left 45 minutes later and they were definitely not closed. Also my window is now making a weird noise when you roll it all the way down and my trim is torn so I have to take it back into the shop to have it looked at.
Fast, friendly guys. Kept me up to date with service and came to my work site! Only took an hour or so! Quality work! Definitely recommend
DONT USE SAFELITE! What a terrible experience. The lady at the front desk was extremely rude. They replaced my windshield and noticed that they completely covered my VIN. I then had to wait 3 days to go back. They made the adjustment, I then noticed a clip from my mirror wasn't installed, so I turned back and they installed it. When I got home I opened the hood to double check their quality, and noticed all of the clips holding the plastic base along the bottom of the windshield were all broken off and not replaced. I called them and they had me go back AGAIN. Now I noticed that the rubber gasket along the top isn't installed right and it's wavy. Never again am I using Safelite. I'm not going back. I'll just have someone else replace my windshield next time. Don't come here.
Had them repair my windshield. Only, for them to make the damage worse. But, luckily damage repair held and was covered by their warranty. Thou, within a week it started cracking in multiple directions.
Oh, where do I begin? Appointment 1...Started out as some chip repairs, one of the repairs ended up spreading, so resulted in having to replace the windshield. Being as I have replaced the windshield once prior, I advised they would want to order an OEM replacement or they were going to have issues calibrating it. Appointment 2...They ordered aftermarket anyway, brackets didn't line up for calibration, shocker... tech advised they would order a different windshield as I drove off with none of my systems connected to the windshield working. Appointment 3... what was supposed to be installation of second windshield ended in more calibration attempts and now its a faulty part... no new windshield installed, part ordered....Appointment 4... Took it in for part install and attempt to get other windshield installed to have the part replaced and find out that a new windshield had never been ordered. OEM order finally placed. Appointment 5... show up, wrong windshield ordered... drive off Appointment 6... Wrong windshield ordered again... Still not resolved, advised waiving the fee due to all the trouble. Appointment 7...FINALLY correct windshield installed and calibrated, promise that no fee would be charged due to all the back and forth and multiple appointments... STILL GOT CHARGED. I am still trying to reach them to correct that last part. Super frustrating experience over two months and lots of back and forth.Services: Auto windshield replacement
