This is for the dental phobia people like me: It took everything in me to book this appointment for myself. I’m really glad I did and was able to work on not only my teeth but my mental fear. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the people I met. I felt very safe and not judged or rushed with all my questions and concerns. The dental hygienist, I believe Amber, was super sweet and gentle and took her time. God bless that woman because I know I did not make it easy. I’m going back for my dental fillings I did not take my Xanax and the cleaning took a lot of mental strength but I am not terrified like I usually am. Thank you sage dental for making my experience comfortable and taking such good care of me! To whoever needed to read this, you can do it!
Beware of sage dental midtown Atlanta' grand opening free dental exam is a scam. next thing. the dental hygienist refused to clean my teeth. next thing a lady came with a $2000 bill to clean my gums not my teeth.i found out from another dentist i don't need that deep cleaning that sage dental told me i need! that is false advertising and bad business practice as i asked many times at least first clean my teeth. then we can do that $2000 cleaning. that sage dental advertisement deep cleaning. is false advertisement just to lure new patients to pay $2000 deep cleaning at least the dental hygienist could have cleaned my teeth before the gums another day. all the years i went to a dentist did xrays then cleaned my teeth. also on yelp and social media sage has lots of bad reviews. bad experience like what happened to me. attorney general has a false advertising department. i felt like pay for $2000 gum cleaning I i am being hustled by the dentist said my teeth are ok! then the free teeth cleaning was refused!! the basic teeth cleaning with fluoride, flossing. polishing teeth is how professional dental hygienist cleans teeth first then deep cleaning. and that sage dental midtown ATL hygienist never gave me info of what she was doing. very unprofessional indeed. and i did file a complaint with my dental insurance. hung up on my dental insurance very unprofessional staff at sage dental in midtown atlanta is about luring new patients with free teeth cleaning and free dental exam they won't do the free teeth cleaning everyone expects done! . n BEWARE find another dentist with good reviews online social media yelp sage dental midtown has many many bad reviews bad terrible experience on yelp, facebook, not just here. at google reviews. we all felt sage dental midtown ATL hustled, scammed so many many patients or new patients. shared their truths terrible experience at Sage dental midtown ATL. Here is an advice sage dental advertisement FREE CLEANING DO the free cleaning ! or stop false ads! too many filing complaints on BBB!
I had an emergency dental visit with Dr. Angela Chang in November to remove 2 wisdom teeth that were giving me pain. My experience with her was great, I have no complaints about her work. I was unimpressed by the customer service of the front office. First, I paid out of pocket while my insurance was being processed. I had found out I had $90 that was overcharged, but they never refunded me I was told this was still in process. In addition, during a second visit to try and get a check-up and prophylactic cleaning, they had told me I needed more dental x-rays and that I could not get the cleaning in the same visit at the check-up exam. This has never happened to me before, however they claimed it was according to GA law. I am suspicious that they were just trying to rack up my visits.
Can confirm other reviews: 1 scheduled for cleaning but was told once I arrive that they can only do an exam first and would have to reschedule for cleaning 2 xrays was painful which never happened before at other dentist 3 said I have serious gum problems and need deep cleaning even though I felt no pain and rarely bleeds when I floss I floss everyday. Suggested deep cleaning. I got a second opinion the next day and said my gum health is completely fine and do not need a deep cleaning. This is very concerning when information and knowledge are asymmetrical, as a patient I trusted them to give me truthful advice instead of upselling service
I had a cleaning at the Midtown location. Unfortunately the address makes it seem like the spot is inside of a large compound of businesses so when you type the address in the gps doesn’t show anything accessible from the street. The website should make it clear that the entrance to the practice is on Crescent Avenue. A small map would probably help as well. As of right now the website only says that parking is to the right of the practice, which- surprise- only helps if you are looking at the place! When I finally did get through to a human at the right location their system routes you through prompts so you can never just reach the office directly, which is painful if you are running late! they were helpful and apologetic enough- not their fault! And my cleaning was thorough and not rushed at all.
Dr. Shareen Yusuf is the best and most thorough dental professional I have encountered. She explained the procedure and executed it with the highest level of professionalism.
I’ve had the same dentist for 12 years and at my first visit with Sage Dental, before building trust or rapport, the dentist told me I have a cavity in one tooth and need a crown on another. The news was delivered very suddenly. I thought it was odd that my last dentist didn’t mention these issues. I gave them two stars because the assistant and hygienist were really nice and did a great job. I’ll definitely be getting a second opinion before doing the more serious dental work they recommended. On another note, hopefully they can get their practice moved soon because it’s not a good look to be working out of boxes.
I'm very disappointed with my visits to this dentist's office, and here is my experience with them over the past few months. First, I called a month in advance in February 2022 for a cleaning, and I specifically said I wanted a cleaning. Because I'm a new patient, the visit was not cleaning but examining how they would clean my teeth later on and improve my teeth. I was never once told that over the phone or in any emails. I had to schedule a month later for a cleaning. I was asked twice if I wanted braces during the appointment, even after saying no the first time and saying I've already had them as a child. I also left with over $800 worth of suggested things to help my teeth if I came back later. Second, I had a letter mailed informing me they were moving to a new location in Atlanta for my cleaning appointment. Before my cleaning appointment, I tried calling several times to confirm, but no one answered my calls, despite them being open. I called the main Sage Dental company number, and a representative from Sage Dental was not able to get in touch with this office as well. The representative did inform me that they did not move to a new location yet, even though they are telling their customers they did, and this has been going on for over a year. Third, I scheduled an appointment to determine if a root canal was needed on a tooth. I got a call 3 hours before the appointment to let me know a mistake had been made, and they could not make my appointment. I had to reschedule a month later. Fourth, I show up at my root canal appointment at 8:00 am. I arrived at 7:30 am because I was not sure if they had moved to a new location or not. I tried calling the day before and left a voice mail, and no one returned my call. I waited for about 20 minutes into my appointment and was told that Doctor Chang was running late. At about 9:20 am, a doctor arrived to do my appointment to determine if a root canal was needed. The procedure took less than a minute. Lastly, I noticed the prices for the root canal procedure seemed very expensive a little over $900. I called my dental insurance, and they informed me the prices seemed off by a lot, and something was suspicious. The dental insurance company called the office to have a predetermined treatment plan sent to the insurance company to figure out why prices were high at this dentist's office. That will be another month of waiting around.
I’m confused by the good reviews. When I visited, my x-rays were painful first time, ever and the team was impersonal. I knew I would need a deep cleaning but the entire team spoke around me, about what I needed, as if I wasn’t in the room. Then they passed me off to someone else to discuss billing for treatment that literally no one on the medical team discussed with me. Not to mention I saw the dentist for maybe 2 minutes and never once did she speak to me directly. I decided not to return for my cleaning and treatment and instead paid out of pocket to visit a new dentist with better service. Dentists are naturally stressful but the service and communication here don’t help. Oh, and the rooms aren’t private.
I'm A New Patient And Everything Was Soo Pleasant Everybody There Answered All My Questions They Made Sure I Knew The Next Step. Also Not A Long Wait Time Everybody Handle Everything With A Sense Of Urgency. Most Definitely My Favorite Dentist Office I Had By Far.
