Be aware it closes at 3:00 pm and 12:00 on Sunday. Neighborhood is sketchy but it’ll be alright. For those so might not know, Marie is not in this one ... She’s in number 1 .

Morbidly cool. It's neat to see the old history and how they used to stack bodies on top of each other, and let them rot. Some of the dates on these are unbelievable and can't even be read.

This cemetery is free to visit. If you find yourself getting charged, you are in the wrong place. We found this cemetery very intriguing. The history is incredible. For those who say cemeteries are not tourist attractions, I will only hope that hundreds of people visit my resting place after I die. It is unfortunate the state some of the vaults are in, but I believe most of it is age over vandals.

The Catholic church is charging $20 a person to get into the cemetery and you have to also have a guide. It seemed ridiculous because I have never been to a graveyard or cemetery where I had to pay. We were going to visit the tomb of Marie Leveau but we were not prepared to pay such an amount. I'm not sure where the money is going but the amount hardly seem justifiable.
