Saint Street Swim

Nice clean facility in a nice part of town, but as others indicated, they do not offer any makeup classes. This policy, in my opinion, encourages parents to bring sick children to class. The fees are billed a month in advance so if you do want to discontinue, your out another month worth of lessons. My son became ill several times during the duration we were swimming and when my son gets sick, so do his parents. I voiced my concerns with the owner, he responded once and when I sent him a second email he just ignored me. He’s a classy one.

Each swim class is $30 for a 30 minute class--that's $1 per minute. Not only is it very expensive for what it is, my biggest complaint is that if you are sick or your kid is sick, and can't make it to the class, they do NOT allow make ups NOR do they offer you class credit, you just lose the money and the class. That is their policy. If you ask me, it is encouraging people to show up to class sick knowing they won't get their money back if they don't. I was not happy with their policy, nor the amount of money I was paying for the experience.

This is my second time around at Saint Street. The coaches are patient and make swimming lessons fun. The facilities are spotless with constant cleaning during these Covid times. The staff is friendly and willing to help in every situation.

Several things: 1. Progress reports are only shared every 4 months so you have no idea where your child is or what they need to work on. 2. Automatic billing in a month in advance so you cannot do anything if you are displeased. 3. Do not miss a class... ever, Saint Street will not allow you make it up, move your schedule or get a refund. 4. There are no clear goals or timeline to move on. It's their discretion so you just keep showing up, paying and hoping. 5. Three kids to an instructor so your kid actually only gets about 8 minutes of instruction and then the rest is them sitting on the side. 6. My truck was broken into in their parking lot and all I got was a "sorry"

They don't have makeup classes. So if your kid is sick then you will end up losing your money. They have very good instructors, facility is well maintained, ample parking...etc. Duration of each class is 30 mins but each instructor will have at least 2 to 4 students in one slot. So your kid gets hardly 8 to 15 mins attention. But for that price, can't complain. If you need more attention then look for private instructors.

My daughter has been taking lessons intermittantly for 6 years. They are a little pricey but the gentlest of the private swim clubs. The youngest kids do cry sometimes but they don't just force them in. My daughter did cry but at the END of her first lesson...didn't want to leave :- Far more effective and professionally taught than red cross lessons at the various public pools though less attention to self-rescue techniques and covers only the competition strokes. More personal attention also means more attention to form.

Both of my girls swim at Saint Street and we could not be happier with the progress they have made in the little under a year that both have been there. The instructors have been amazing and really understand how to work with kids of all types and personalities. My oldest, 4 when she started, would not even put her face in the water, she now can do free style, with rollovers, across the length of the pool and is great at backstroke. She is now starting to learn side breathing, all in less than a year. As one reviewer mentioned, when we initially called we were placed on a wait list, and it did take a few months to get a spot. However after being there a year I understand this is in large part due to the large number of kids that attend every session. When we have asked to change times or levels we have also had to deal with wait lists, but not always, however they are very responsive and have called back whenever a spot has become available. Overall worth the wait!
