Sakura Japanese Steakhouse + Sushi

Every time I've gone here the service is poor and wait is ridiculous. The last time I was there was for a friend's birthday and we had 1 waitress for 16 people. She was confused the whole time mixing up orders and when I ask another staff member for help she said told the person she had it, longer wait. We asked for our checks and had to wait 30 minutes and they were wrong. 20 more minutes for her try to figure them out. Then we were charged 18% gratuity for poor service. I have told my friends I will no longer come to any events at this place. The only good things was our cook, Calvin was excellent. Otherwise, this place is bad. Dont waste your money.

This a favorite spot for the family. Casual low key atmosphere. The Sushi will rival Charlotte’s finest Sushi places. Must try the Lovin Oven roll. So unique.

Wonderful sushi and hibachi! We are somewhat “sushi snobs” and we think all the rolls here are delicious! The hibachi is inexpensive for the amount of food you get. My husband and I ate there tonight for less than $50 - steak hibachi, two large sushi rolls and a few beers. The waitstaff is always extremely friendly...love them! We drive thirty minutes from Waxhaw even though there are other places closer by. It’s just so good!

Service and food was great. Would have been 5 stars but my granddaughter had eaten before and only wanted dessert. They didn't have what she ordered off the menu.

A great dining experience. The chef was very entertaining. Our large party was well accommodated. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We ate in the main dining area, but saw that there were private rooms available. Looks like a great place to have a party.
