Tried 2 Pupusas - Salvadoran herbs and ayote squash as well as al pastor sopes. They were both delicious. Their freshly squeezed melon juice was really good too. The staff was patient and kind and made us feel served, answering all questions. I just wish that the menu would get upgraded so it’s easier to process the orders make it clear that there is an upcharge for each ingredient/flavor selected for the pupusa, for example and simplify the menu so when you ring the food at the register it will be faster. I have to say though the food was great and all parties at my table really enjoyed the experience. Parking: There were slots for about 2-3 cars to be parked in front of the restaurant as a street parking.
One of my favorite restaurants in Omaha downtown area. Pupusas revueltas and plantains are fantastic and made so authentically. They give you a side of salsa and coleslaw curtido with the pupusas, and a side of crema with the plantains. They are also very affordable!! You’re missing out on good Salvadoran food if you haven’t been here
The pupusas here are next level We got pastelitos, too *chefs kiss* It's chill inside, spacious booths and nice tables. Parking is off street. It's in a weird spot off 24th & Leavenworth but I've never had a problem finding a place to parkFood: 5/5
Always looking for salvadorian food because it's so yummy! The pupusas were so delicious. We also have to say, get the horchata! You can tell eveything was made with love. The tamales were amazing as well. Obviously tacos were a must. Carne asada and tinga! Dine in our take out, I will definitely be back to try more!
absolutely incredible food, owned by wonderful people. we were greeted with chips and salsa while dining in, very good salsa. the fried plantains, pupusas, and asada tacos were all amazing. so much flavor and great service. i’ll be back!
Great customer service, friendly faces, and awesome food, the passion fruit drink was AMAZING! I got the steak burrito and my friend got cheesy enchiladas. Both were 5 stars
I LOVE this place ! I come here every so often and i love their pupusa’s and tacos . Everything i’ve gotten here has been extremely flavorful and the staff are so friendly . I would wait an hour for their food if i had to. Thank you for being one of my favorite spots in Omaha!
I do believe that I’m in love! I’ve been on the hunt for good Pupusas in town for a hot minute, and I’m now excited to say that the hunt is over. I swung by to pick up a “family meal” for my coworkers and they were more than accommodating for my basically last minute catering order. 10/10 would order again :
I ordered Chicken tortas, Shrimp tortas and guacamole with chips today. The food is good.
Tonight was our first visit to Salmex. We went their exclusively to try their pupusas. We have had pupusas from many restaurants in Omaha and Salmex are our new favorite. We tried the cheese, the cheese and pork, and the cheese, pork, and bean. All three were freshly prepared and delicious. The cabbage salad curtido and salsas were tasty too. Our only complaint is their drink choices. They have canned or bottled Coke products which was difficult for our younger kids to utilize. If they offered fountain drinks, with lids for kids, we would give this place 5 stars. We are anxious to return and try other items from the menu.
