I was very happy with what I ordered. The amount of food I was served for the amount I paid was very reasonable, and the lady who served me was very nice and explained each menu item to me that I asked about. There is a great selection to choose from but I would suggest getting in before 12 because the food sells fast! Bring cash unless you plan to spend more than $10. A meal costs less than $10. They have bottled and canned drinks to choose from including different fruit nectars and coconut water. It’s also a small grocery store but I didn’t take the time to browse.
I came into salo salo around 10:30 am. I wanted longunisa, rice and sinigang. They were out and I chose to get lechon kawali sinigang and a bbq. It cost over $20 for my meal with a can of soda I get home and my Lechon is cold the skin was not crunchy it was soft and mushy. I was going to return my food but did not want to waste my gas for 4 trips back and forth. I ate one bite and lost my appetite I was hoping for good Filipino food and won’t come back to eat again.
Food always fresh, but when they run out of food, that's it. So they close early.. But their food is good and never left under the light all day. Great chicken BBQ. KareKare is made with oxtail. Place is expensive but good quality. Sisig not that good though.
Stopped in later in the day on Saturday, so selections were scarce. They open early and close mid day. We pre-ordered/paid for the following day and when we returned for pickup the food was hot and ready on time. Excellent pancit, Lumpia & chicken skewers. Great customer service. Get there "early" to get more of the foods you enjoy. I did.
The food was hot and fresh but when I got to bottom of the pan of lumpia there was a long black hair on the bottom and the pancit had small black particles in it. Does anyone know what it could have been? Yes the order was picked up.
This is the worst Filipino food I ever been. The price was to expensive!.. food was terrible and cold!! And the portion they gave me was not enough for $899 + tax!! Top of that they charge you $.50 for soup wow I was expecting it would be free.. Man I go to Felynn or ihaw ihaw and Susan kitchen I get soup for free all the time!! For two entry and with soup and 2drink I only spend $20 for 2 entry with 2 soda and 2soup and they give a lot of food! But SALO SALO! It’s a joke!! All this good reviews with 5star they all probably know each other. But me will never never going back to SALO SALO !!! SO SAVE YOUR MONEY. Just go to felynn, ihaw ihaw or Susan kitchen and I promise you wont be disappointed!!
I just visited today and I love the good customer service from the lady owner. I had pancit and 1 entree plus my husband had 2 entree that came with a BBQ chicken stick. Enough selection for lunch. They have tried fish Tilapia, etc. Price was reasonable too! A hot and tasty- home cooked meal for $5 is a great deal for this time of year. I highly recommend and will return again next opportunity.
I love this place, I go there 2 to 3 times a week. Food and service are excellent. There is no reason why you will not love this place unless you don't like Filipino food or you are from another planet or didn't know the real taste of a Filipino food. You will feel that you are in the Philippines once you sit and eat in this place.
Haven’t really indulged in much of the ‘meals’ but the Karioka sticky balls; rice, coconut, crispy caramelized outer shell is better than any other establishment. Tarun fried banana egg roll, caramelized brown sugar shell is also a notable mention!
First time coming here. Very hospitable. Amazing Food great desserts! I recommend the Turon havnt tried the rest yet but I'll be back. Only thing I guess is cons about this restaurant is it closes at 3pm But all good things must close at some point. Just Go and try it. You wont be disappointed. Salamat
