Our Story

Offering only the highest standards in the hair industry for 25+ years, Ava, the owner of this hair studio, studied and trained under various salons in Honolulu and oversea as a stylist, colorist and makeup artist.
With experience and influence pooled from her time in Korea, Japan, and in Honolulu, Ava strives to provide clients with the highest standard of service and in an environment that lacks pretense. “We want our salon to be a place where clients are greeted with genuine warmth and welcome – a place where they can breathe, relax and feel good about themselves.”
Salon AVA offers a full range of services for its clientele, including haircuts, blowouts, color, styling, hair extensions, Japanese hair straightening, Damaged Hair Reparing, Wedding bridal makeup, and facial waxing. The expert casts of Ava’s stylists participate in ongoing advanced training programs to keep abreast of new techniques and further hone their skills.
While Ava’s philosophy has always centered around the cut being the foundation for any great hairstyle – and the color is providing the depth for that style. – It’s the infamous Ava’s blowouts and finishing work that make the women toss their hair as they walk out of Salon AVA feeling beautiful, confident and sexy.
