DO NOT TAKE YOUR PRECIOUS FURBABIES HERE!! THEY KILLED OUR DOG, BOWIE!! Our Pomeranians, who are litter twins, have always been easy to groom. We hear that from all groomers. We took them to Salon Versace and when my husband picked them up afterward, our dog Bowie was CLEARLY in severe respiratory distress! She couldn't move her head at all and she couldn't breathe. Their nasty 'front desk manager' said NOTHING about it. So we rushed Bowie straight to the vet for emergency care and, despite their hard work and dedication, she died a few hours later. The vet thinks they either used a choke restraint which everyone knows you NEVER DO ON SMALL DOGS!! or allowed her to fall off the grooming table and she sustained a neck injury that way! I called the salon the next day and the 'front desk manager' was SO INCREDIBLY RUDE and nasty that I almost decided to sue them right then & there. She has ZERO business being in customer service! My husband is an attorney and i run a law firm, so we're still both mulling this option. When I finally talked to the owner, she seemed empathic, so that helped. She assured us she'd get to the bottom of what happened. After they cost us a lot of money in emergency vet care and killed our dog, the LEAST they could do was cancel the grooming charge. She agreed. So why is it STILL ON MY CREDIT CARD?? And why have i not heard ANYTHING from them about what happened??? These people are completely heartless. Our surviving dog is absolutely heartbroken over the loss of her sister. Our entire family is. Our beautiful Bowie is in my deep freezer right now because we can't even decide what to do with her. She was only 11. She was a beautiful, hilarious, sassy girl and we had to hold her and watch her slowly die of asphyxia the last two pictures are her struggling to breathe. She can't move her head!! and these people can't even be arsed to tell us what happened or cancel the charge for the nightmare experience. I had to open my credit card statement and be traumatized all over again. Absolutely disgusting. DO NOT TRUST YOUR BABIES TO THESE PEOPLE!!
As a former employee I can assure you that the owners and employees at this facility are as good as they come. From the moment your pup walks in the door they are treated with love and respect. The only way dogs are ever kept in the same crate is if they are siblings brought in together. The owners are the most dog crazy and loving people I have met and so are their groomers. After moving away I realize how lucky we were to have salon Versace because other establishments just aren’t like this place!
I’m actually going to write a follow up to the complaint left by Tiffany Roy. See what Tiffany didn’t tell you is she’s a disgruntled employee that was let go from SV because she constantly complained about working. At every task she was given there was a complaint. Tiffany was first hired at Great Neck Doggie Daycare as a receptionist but after further training we noticed that she could not keep up with the workload phone calls, dogs checking in etc so instead of just firing her we offered her a position at SV because she said she had a interest in grooming. Soon after making the move to SV it was noted that Tiffany couldn’t keep pace with busy salon either. Kealy the owner tried to work with her but Tiffany’s complaints were overshadowing any work she did do. As for the concerns of water in a crate with a dog, if there was water in a crate and the dog knocked it over or played in it the groom would have to be redone. Grooming dogs are not at SV for more than 2-3hrs. A dog is not going to be dehydrated in that amount of time. The concern over two dogs in one crate? They were siblings and if separated that became super anxious barking, drooling and trying to break out of the crate. Putting them together so they could comfort each other and settle down is a much better option don’t you think? Unfortunately, Tiffany’s employment did not work out with GNDD or SV but making a bad review because of it is bad taste.
Awesome experience today. Wonderful welcoming staff made the hand off easy. I was offered to pay while my dogs nails were being trimmed so that we could take her out right away when she was done. We were thrilled with the results of well rounded and smooth nails. Thank you for your fine service.
Incredibly upset with the professionalism of Salon Versace. I brought my poodle in. He did have some mats in his ears and tail - nothing I haven't had other groomers work out for a nominal fee. However, instead of calling me to ask what I wanted to do with the mats I would have told them I will deal with them myself, they independently decided to shave his full length tail practically down to the skin shorter than the rest of his body and cut his ears very short. The tail will take at least 6 months to regrow - you don't just unilaterally make that decision. The shave on his face is also pretty messy. Their response was: "we're sorry, we'll make a note in the file". And of course they asked me to pay beforehand so I tipped before I saw what an atrocious job they did. Edit: good Lord it gets worse and I'm changing my review to 1 star. I later notice they used the closest shaver to shave down the inside of their legs so every time they sit, they have ridiculous naked knees.
Salon Versace is the most charming, loving boutique of a grooming shop in our area! Pocket always looks like a cover dog when he comes out after his spa day with Kealy
This place took my samoyed on last minutes notice one morning when nobody in town would. I have a degenerative stomach and intestinal disorder and I woke up in the middle of the night and tried so hard to make it to the bathroom but ended up puking on my baby that was laying next to me. They took him and worked him in with mind you a 3 plus hour job to bathe him and dry him while I was sick. I am a customer for life now. The staff is friendly and great with the furbabies!
Brought my puppy in for his first ever groom and they charged me extra for his behavior because of the blow dryer which he has never experienced before. They told me they would take things slow and introduce him to everything but charged extra for his temperament somehow.
Would give zero stars, if possible. Took my dog for a grooming. When I picked her up, her foot was bleeding. They tried to cover it up and deny it. They cut my dogs foot and refused to refund the grooming session or do anything about the bleeding foot. Will never go back. Owner/ manager was rude and was laughing saying that accidents happen. BEWARE
They did an excellent job with Shelby our Newfypoo. Very affordable, equally priced as Petsmarts but did a much better job!!!
