4/25/22 Brought in my car for a battery change, person at the desk was friendly, advises that it should take about 30 minutes to install and so we headed to do some shopping, Received a call about 30 minutes later the new battery was installed and to pickup when we’re ready. Upon starting my vehicle it wouldn’t start at all. Prior to calling an attendant I looked under the hood of the car and to my surprise the new battery was NOT connected to the cables, on either sides see photos. The young man apologized said he got distracted when another customer asked him a question not acceptable. He should have double checked his work or have a Manager check !! What if I was installing new tires and he had forgotten to tighten something and I drove off the lot?
Put a sign regarding your hours for premium members or have a different hours of operation online because it’s such a waste of time to show up at 8am when your hours say open at 8am but no where on there does it say you have to have an upgraded membership to be there when the store opens. Change your hours, people who pay extra to show up when the store opens will know they have early access. People looking to get errands handled in a timely matter will be misguided by these poor, confusing , hours of operation
I bought a battery from them for my Nissan Frontier and my truck wouldn't start from time to time. I found out later from another shop that they didn't tightened the connections good. I'm not sure if I can trust them for future service. Also sometimes they don't answer the phone because the service desk is not always manned. They need to work on better staffing, attention to detail, and quality workmanship. I will try other tire and battery shops instead. They did ok with my windshield wipers. Even if they mess that up, I could fix it myself.
I recommend coming in really really early when you're a Plus member. The lines get really long and they get really busy as the day progresses. I bought my car battery here in and out within 35 mins; got there at 8am, went home car was dead at home, went back out around 1030am, and the wait was a bit more than this morning turned in my old dead battery to get my core deposit back. I saw one of the guys buying tires ahead of me early 8am just leaving when I returned he bought tires. I overheard the flat tire repair had 8 cars in queue! Wow! But the person in the register remained calm, professional, and pleasant. Thanks :
Placed an order and Sam's called and left a message, I was told my tires were in. Tried multiple times calling to set up an appointment to no avail. Nobody answers their line. Customer service puts you on hold and hangs up after 25min. 4Xtimes!! Drove down there. Spoke to the gal who was manning the desk and she told us the next available appointment was 2 weeks away! Why call a customer to tell them their tires are in and come pick them up only to go there and find out they cannot install the tires today? Noone ever mentioned this prior to ordering or even after ordering.
this Sam's Club which is located on the third floor of a 3 deck building. The bottom floor the street level floor, is Walmart which at one time we were told had the largest volume in the United States. It is within walking distance of the Ala Moana Shopping Center. A shopping center that is made up of many high-end and modest price stores. The composition of shops in the Ala Moana Shopping Center has changed over the years. At it's conception about 50 plus years ago it was the largest open air outdoor shopping mall in the USA
Lots of parking. Walmart is right downstairs. Bought new tires here a couple of weeks ago. The mechanics are very helpful and professional. Sam's Club's grocery items tend to be in smaller portions so it's great for small families.They don't rot as fast. Checkout time could be long though it's improving.
The customer service here is trash! This morning my family went early and arrived before 7:00 AM, and we've been waiting for over 4 hours, and now they're finally starting on my car! They got 4 or so people working on a single car and everyone who've been waiting have been waiting for so long. I have a feeling that the workers don't know what they're doing as I've heard from others that a month ago, all the previous workers quit.
Although the wait might be awhile, it is definitely worth it! Kaipo and the others are so helpful, and I was so happy with the new tires and rotation they did on my car.
Stopped by the tire center for air check with no appointment, worried...two very kind gentleman, Jared and Chris graciously checked and filled air for all four of my tires. I was grateful and appreciative of their service much Mahalo and aloha! Merry Christmas!
