Beautiful inside. Very swag and modern. Super comfortable in the rooms. The trains are loud but that goes with the character. I gave it a 4 because the tenants are not friendly. Overall, If you work close by, this is a great place to live.
I literally just moved into the Sampson lofts yesterday and I am in love with my loft! It has so much character and it truly matches my personality, I am going to have so much decorating it. Every neighbor I have come across has been super friendly, they spoke and held the door open for me I love simple human kindness! The energy and vibe of the lofts is a 10/10. Aside from the great community and my nice loft I have to give a special thanks to Heather!! Heather is an outstanding leasing agent and she goes above and beyond to get you the perfect loft that fits you and I am so very grateful for her and the whole management team for everything! I am so happy to call the Sampson Lofts my home! Thanks again Heather you are truly and angel!
I lived here at the Sampson Lofts since they first opened in 2017. I really enjoyed my time here and think that the current office manager Heather Wilson is a very good manager. I really do hope that everyone else enjoys this place as much as I did. You’ll get used to the train but you’ll enjoy how close it is to everything in the city of Houston. Also make sure you check out all the local breweries in the area.
I loved living here! Everything about Sampson Lofts has been nothing short of amazing. Heather is a gem! Anytime I needed something or had an issue, she's always been super helpful and acted with a sense of urgency. The train is annoying, however, I got used to it and it wasn't bad enough to where I wanted to move. The location is perfect and I always felt safe. If I move back to Houston, I definitely would want my old unit back!
Where do we start?! We lived here for three awesome years! Heather has been with us since the beginning. She was very transparent and upfront about the building and it’s surroundings. Nothing was a surprise because she explained everything to us. You get used to the train over time. The best part about our stay was Heather. She is always there for you. She would always find a solution to any of your problems super quickly. She’s always smiling and helpful. That’s the beauty of living in a small complex. The interaction is personal and you’re always taken care of. Any issues we had were immediately fixed. A few times, I would get stuck at work and before she would leave for the day, I would ask her to help me with my pup. She never hesitated and was always thoughtful about her tenants. I wish every complex had management like this one does.
Walls are paper thin between the above and below unit floors. One time the building manager sent out a letter to all residents stating that we should only be having intimate time with people in our units during certain hours. The building manager was trying her best with a sinking ship but still, she was pretty awful. Get ready to be stuck between trains on the way to work and hear train horns outside of your window all hours of the day and night. The dog urine from the upstairs neighbor dripped onto my unit from them not letting the poor thing out, not to mention the dust and dirt from the uninsulated ceiling falling on everything constantly. Terrible location, terrible management, apropos to see them arguing with bad reviews in the comments as that was the general building management style.
Amazing Place To Live... I was actually the very first tenant to move into Sampson Lofts. It’s truly everything that I expected and plan on staying until I make my final move overseas in a couple of years. Heather, who is our property manager here at Sampson Lofts is truly amazing. I remember first meeting her when paying my security deposit. Even though it’s a fairly small building it still takes a special person to manage over 70 plus lofts and do it with ease. Heather is always on it and listens to tenants when there are issues of concern. The property is well kept, clean and maintained at the highest level. All due to excellent management and staff. There have even been times where she has assisted me with things that has nothing to do with her job responsibilities. That’s truly going above and beyond.... Continued appreciation Heather for being the person that you are and a amazing manager. You are an incredible inspiration for making Sampson Lofts home Michael Gray Sampson Lofts Resident
The number one reason I would recommend this place is because of the manager, Heather. She goes above and beyond to provide support to her tenants, and is always so quick to respond in the event of an issue. There are few places in Houston with this much character, but be prepared for what comes with a historic building that is next to trains. If you know what to expect with train noise and thin walls, you’ll have a great experience. The awesome manager is a welcomed bonus! Also, the area is super walkable with tons of fun spots nearby.
My boyfriend and I have lived here for almost 2 years now. We’ve loved and thoroughly enjoyed it! Although, keep in mind you definitely have to be good with sound as well as the train which both are things we’re definitely used to. The vibe, the interiors, small community, the proximity to bars, breweries, Minute Maid, BBVA — AMAZING! We can’t say enough great things about Sampson Lofts, but more specifically of HEATHER, the building manager. She is truly a gem! She makes the entire living experience absolutely wonderful. She is so attentive, communicative and all around a pleasure to interact with. She adds so much to the Sampson Lofts living experience, we truly appreciate her. She is what building managers should all aspire to be. All in all we love this place and can’t recommend it enough!
Love living here since the moment I moved in October 2017! Being an artist, I work here too so I'm at my loft most of the time. I love the concept as I think there's really nothing like this in the city. I'm used to the train and love the industrial aspect all around it. I know that the owners contribute a lot to the community in Houston and these lofts are a big part of it. Management has been great too!
