Dr Wong and others who have responded to reviews: Clearly you are aware for privacy reasons the majority of users will not display their actual name nor should you all confirm a patient’s name. “Google Mail” is not my legal name. This Dr is incredibly dismissive and will disconnect your call as soon as he can less than 30 seconds without giving you an opportunity to ask follow up questions or learn about other services provided. Just ends up putting you in a bad mood about the sorry state of human interaction, impatient practices and lousy medical care. Would strongly advise searching and spending your dollars elsewhere.
This man is "oddly" very much impressed with himself and although claims to be a MD, doesn't have the presence of mind to be polite. I would never patronize a doctor who is impolite right off the bat. Also...as a funny note, he additionally refers to himself as maestro, claiming to be a musical conductor. If this is actually so, the only thing that he conducts is poor manners and a lack of professional decorum. We never got beyond the initial introductory call and would never take him on as a medical advisor and doctor. This man is very odd. Stay away... Practice doesn't "have a patient by this name" simply and understandably because an exchange over the telephone communicated all I needed to know. He was never going to be a physician of mine and I would never be foolish enough to be his patient. Completely obnoxious obtuse individual.
Note: The office is currently listed as 46 W 86th St on Google Maps but I saw him at his 125 W 79th St office. Suffered a corneal abrasion a few months ago while cycling. During the height of COVID in NYC there were few medical options in the evening outside of ER. Samuel was the only doctor I called who went out of his way to see me after business hours that same day, traveling from home to reopen his office, to check it out note we both lived relatively close to the office. Prescribed drops that I picked up that evening, and a follow-up appointment to make sure healing was going as planned. Knowledgable, personable and reassuring. P.S. Yes, he followed social distancing, sanitization and mask-wearing protocol to a tee.
Dr. Wong is dismissive, rude, and the admin staff although very nice is completely uninformed re proper billing.
Words can't describe how compassionate, knowledgeable and caring he is.
