Excellent museum. Very detailed exhibits with interesting artifacts covering Texas independence. I think the most interesting thing is that I had no idea this place existed in the first place.

They currently have a paid exhibit with interesting media and other cool documents.

This place is amazing. They are very organized. I do have to say thw hurt shop is a little pricy but their museum and exhibits are awesome. There is only one elevator but it only takes 40 seconds to get to the top. The staff is very nice. I enjoyed my visit and hope to come again!

If you are a history buff you will most certainly want to stop and see this place. Free vehicle ferry to the island. Admission to the museum and to go up the 54 floor elevator in the monument was fairly priced. This place represents the turning point in the war that led to Texas being independant. The reflection pool at the base of the monument  is similar to that of the one in Washington DC.

Required trip and adventure for every Texan and history lover! 

The place is well done.  We were able to attend special exhibit detailing Mexican -American War.  Well done with great period pieces telling the story.

Perfect day trip from Houston, spent a little over an hour.  Observation deck 400+ feet in the air that highlights the position of both armies.  35 minute informational movie that starts on the hour and a great little display of artifacts and timelines of the history of Texas.
