Sanchez Grocery

Came here on a whim a few years back bought a hand made pilón a big one and a few other items decided to order some food and was like what the ¥¥£€:$ ! The food is actually quite good. It’s a little more these days with inflation buts that’s ok everything is a little more these days. You get what you pay for and in this case it’s the yellow rice the beans the fried bananas the stewed meats of the day the flank steak they have a really nice baked chicken the fried pork chops are really tasty. The stew could use a little less vinegar but over all I kind of like this place a bodega that cranks out delicious plates! If you go anywhere else you’ll pay double so remember they are a good food market which just happens to have a kitchen as well so take full advantage of this if you’re nearby. Stop in a grab a plate to go you won’t be dissatisfied!!!

Prices change daily, no warning of it . They always have a attitude and if you don’t speak Spanish they act differently. They are very rude & charge for EVERYTHING little or small. I choose to go to store up 2 blocks up now. Way nicer and prices way better. They aren’t worth going too anymore … your better off up the block.

The hot food is very good, the service isn't bad they have a nice variety of things to choose from.

This is a corner store. I like going there because they have what I need. And they also have lottery. They make hoagies, sandwiches, breakfast. They do a great business and the staff are very nice. Very busy place. Not a good day today there Their deli was shut down. I guess they were shut down by the health department. Can't believe it. Now I have to find somewhere else to go. Also the young girl didn't know how to do lottery. They finally got a new machine for the lottery!!!

Unless you can speak Spanish do not go here! EVERY SINGLE ORDER is not right! Then they charge different prices. One day a platter is $6 the next day it's $7 and they're giving light platters now. It used to be good food and a good serving of food. Now platters have small amounts of rice and meat rice is wet and slimey and they never give you what you want. You would think there would be at least one person in the store capable of speaking and comprehending English.. Nope the majority of this neighborhood speaks English. You have to take whatever they want to give you because they don't understand what you want. Hard pass I'll never go back again.

Quick little Spanish market... love to get my pasteles... and quick groceries I miss at the market. Friendly staff seem like family are always happy to serve you and always speak when you walk in
