I rented here from August 2021 through July 2022. I have not been asked to write this review; this is my own honest review. I should also add that I only moved out because I wanted to move in with my boyfriend and be downtown. I would’ve stayed another year without hesitation otherwise. This place was amazing because the management company is good. The one bedroom unit I had was perfectly spacious for me. Maintenance was always responsive and if I had any issues with billing, etc I could call or visit Drew or anyone in the front office and they’d help me within a business day usually. I did many morning workouts in the gym area which is very handy in the winter when it’s too cold for a morning jog. My only complaint is if you have a noisy neighbor, you will hear them because the walls aren’t very thick. But I have lived in worse apartments in college as far as noise is concerned. Additionally, when I moved out, I took the time to thoroughly clean the apartment, and they returned my ENTIRE deposit plus the interest it gained over the year lol. So they don’t nickel and dime you for stuff. I would honestly move back in here in a heartbeat as long as BBH and Drew are in charge. Highly recommend!
Finding the right apartment has been a daunting task in my busy life. I needed a place that was a in a great location for my needs and a place that I could feel welcomed, not just another notch in their belt and safe. Greenway Village Apartments was EVERYTHING I was looking for! From the first contact to my lease signing I was impressed with how I was treated. The unit that I will be moving into is so beautiful! I love the cabinetry, breakfast bar, appliances and OMG did you see that W/D in my unit! I am so excited and cannot wait! I highly recommend this place.
I lived here for 2 years, and would Never recommend anyone to rent from greenway village/bbh management. Suzanna was the first person who had helped us and she was sincere, pleasant and very professional. After Suzanna left drew took over the property management position. My first encounter with her was our old mailbox lock was jammed and I had spoken with drew in person about the issue and I knew she was someone who thinks her opinion is superior. When our unit electricty coincidentally died right at 4:30pm and no other unit in our building had this issue. We reported immediately to the maintenance guy and drew. We called drew and she ignored our calls instead texted us with responses like a teenager. Both drew and the maintenance guy are very hostile and shady. There was multiple inappropriate behaviors that I witnessed from drew harassing tenants of color. She talks fast, likes to inturupt you, childishly purposely misprints your name and is very fake. I have worked in food service, public service, and retail customer service for the past 20 years, by far the this place has the most Rudest and Unprofessional staff.
Current tenant here. I desperately wish I could give less than one star. I’m only posting this as a last resort and fair warning to anyone who is interested in living here. Run and never look back. I moved in with my partner March of 2020 and had good experiences moving in at such a strange time, only issues were with maintenance but they were quickly and respectfully resolved by the previous property manager, Susanna. We felt that we had our needs well met and any concerns we had were taken seriously, and beyond that were appropriately & promptly handled. We renewed a lease short term and had agreed on a specific increase in the rent with the new property manager, Drew Petersen. In our first experiences with her, she lied to us and tried to get us to pay $100 more than we had previously agreed to when signing the paperwork. Damaged my trust in her from the get go, but we let it slide thinking it was simply clerical error. Unfortunately, our problems only began here. A few months back, I was walked in on in the shower by a maintenance worker who showed up to our apartment completely unannounced and came into our bathroom to “check a water leak” while I was clearly showering. Massive HR issue, a tenant being completely violated by a maintenance worker. But Drew didn’t care and nothing was done about this at all. In fact, even though I requested that the “repair” be done at a scheduled later time when I would be available, nobody ever showed up to do it. I began to wonder if there was ever a real leak in the first place. The most frustrating piece of this puzzle is that myself and multiple of my neighbors have had packages upon packages robbed from us by another one of our neighbors daily and Drew is letting it happen. She’s fully aware of the situation and flat out refuses to do anything to help it stop or increase our sense of security in our home. I loved living here until Drew became our manager. She’s rude, difficult to deal with, has a weak grasp on her communication skills and is an awful manager in general. You bring her real issues, she gives you the same canned response you’ve heard already and yet the problems persist. Live anywhere else. Update: She can’t even spell my name, written above, correctly in her reply after renting there over a year…. Furthermore, her willingness to share private information publicly regarding tenants and their leases is yet another HR issue you should be concerned about. Truly exemplifies all you need to know about her attention to detail, reading comprehension and IQ. You really wanna trust her to draft your lease? Hands down worst property manager I’ve ever had the displeasure to deal with.
Drew Property Manager is extremely helpful and caring! I was having car troubles and she helped me, and recommended a great mechanic to go to. Very appreciative of her and all she does to help make Greenway Village a nice place to live.
In three-ish years living here I've only had two maintenance requests. I feel like this says a lot, but yesterday I put in a service request through the tenant portal that my heat wasn't working. I called them about this morning and the maintenance guy was at my door so fast. Really professional. Super competent. Figured it out, got the parts, fixed it and bounced. 10/10 maintenance service. Furnace igniter broken, but Chris swiftly fixed. So warm and grateful.
We just renewed our lease and love Greenway Village Apartments. The units are incredible and the location in unbeatable. 10 min from downtown Minneapolis and 10 min from downtown St. Paul. Drew Property Manager has been wonderful and keeps everything well kept around the property you name it, grounds, trash, scheduling work orders, etc. My wife and I put in multiple minor work orders and all were handled with care and were prompt and on time. I highly suggest signing a lease at Greenway if you are looking for quality and convenience. Thank you Greenway Village Team!
Our 10 month lease is coming to an end. I think that the location of the apt is great. It's close to everything, making it very convenient for us to get our shopping done but also keeping us away from the ongoing crimes within the twin cities. This is also the first apt that I've lived in where I don't have any complaints about my neighbors. Everyone in the surrounding units seem to be respectful and aren't loud at all. The hallways get cleaned weekly and I like that the entrance is shared with only a few people in the building that I live in especially with covid, I don't want to share spaces with a lot of people. I also like that each unit has its own water heater. All the apts I've lived in before, the water doesn't get hot enough to my liking so I am thankful for this amenity. I personally think that the rent price is also very affordable compared to other apts that have in-unit washer/dryer. The manager, Drew, is also great with communicating. She always answer my questions in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend others to live here.
I have lived at Greenway for just about two years now and I have nothing but great things to say! The finishes throughout the apartment are very high end but also affordable rent for the location. It is a short drive to both downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul but the area is very quiet and quaint. I never hear any neighbors so everyone is very courteous of one another. Whenever I place a maintenance request it is completed very quickly and management is very accommodating. I have lived in both a one bedroom apartment and a two bedroom, highly recommend. Fall 2021 Adding an edit now that I have moved out. I still have no issues and loved our apartment/the entire complex, but my fiancé and I were disappointed in the move out process. I've always been a clean person/kept our place neat and tidy, even paid someone to do our move out clean. We lost half our deposit due to "holes in the wall" and "substantial repairs" needed. We tried to discuss with the property manager but she didn't seem to want to explain reasons behind everything aside from saying there were oil stains in the kitchen behind the stove. Mind you, there is no backsplash so oil stain is near impossible to avoid. Disappointed but a learning experience for future apartments.
I would have renewed my lease if it wasn’t for the new property manager Drew. She’s rude, unprofessional, and talks to you like she’ll get things taken care of but doesn’t. She harasses you, shows up unannounced, and tried to make excuses not to credit my money back to me. Really nice apartments, horrible property manager. Also, she made an appointment with me, I show up to talk to her about crediting my account. Not even five minutes later, she tells me to leave and come back because she has a showing. Then another time, she tells me she’ll be here after a certain time, I show up , and she’s not even there. BTW, I’m not the first person who’s made complaints about this specific person. Seems like they just keep moving her from property to property.
