I am so hurt, my fiance took the time to order me a Mother's Day bouquet from Sandy's and it looked horrible. The flowers were in all different stages of blooming some roses looked like they were on their last leg and should have been tossed out with last night's leftovers. The pinks were pink and whitish green, the yellow roses had spots on them and the one white rose in the middle looked like it was just thrown in as a filler. The small sunflowers were dying and well the greenery was dried up with holes in it. I have tried calling Sandy's before posting this review but since no one seems to answer the phone there this was my one recourse. I will be contacting my credit card company for a refund and will be advising him to never order from them again. Poor fellow is from out of town and loves supporting his own but this is a disgrace and totally damped my Mother's Day. Yes, I am mad as hell!
I ordered my mom an upgraded, very expensive multi color bouquet with multiple types of flowers. What she received was a grocery store quality bouquet with a purple vase, purple roses and purple carnations. All purple. NOTHING remotely like what was ordered. I reached out to the business 3 times to try and get this rectified and they have yet to respond. I guess they got my money and that's all they care about. Read the reviews! I wish I did.
My boyfriend ordered flowers from this place and chose it because he wanted to support a local black owned business. We were in Alabama just visiting, so he put faith in this business. They called around 5pm on Valentine's Day the day it was supposed to be delivered asking if they could deliver my flowers the next day instead. I said no because my boyfriend spent a lot of money and we will be leaving Alabama tomorrow. This was also supposed to be a surprise, so I am not sure why they called me the recipient. We also have some suspicion that someone from this business used my boyfriends card to make purchases elsewhere. I can’t believe this place is still in business based on reviews I’ve read.
I DO NOT recommend this company. EVER! I ordered flowers from them on a Tuesday morning. I called Wednesday because they were not delivered. They said they were very sorry and they missed several orders that day and had no excuse but would get it out right away that Wednesday morning. They also promised to give me a discount of $10. I wait all day Wednesday and the flowers are not delivered and not only did they charge me full price but they charged me twice! I am crossing my fingers I get a refund. Most of all I am sad & disappointed. My friend lost her pup who she loved dearly and all I wanted was to send her flowers to cheer her up. I would have been completely fine if they told me they just could not do it and I could have purchased from someone else who would send the flowers I paid for.
Terrible company. How can you be a flower company and not have an order ready for a delivery when it was ordered a week early? Then choose to not answer the day of delivery and continuously put me on hold the day after. You’ll find better business just about anywhere. Who knows if my order even gets delivered or refunded.
Take your business elsewhere. My son from out of town saw their website snd trusted them based on their false advertising. They never bothered to deliver the arrangement my son paid good money for! He so wanted to surprise me for Mother's Day, as this was his first time ever sending me flowers! But he got the surprise - no flowers. He said he's gonna call them. I'll edit this post to let you know the outcome.
As a 5 star rated renown Salon owner of 29yrs who has never stood up any client and who understands the professionalism and passion it takes to run a successful business for close to 30 Blessed years, not only was I highly disappointed, but I had the WORST experience with SANDY FLOWERS in Birmingham, AL !!! Recently April 2021, I gave a courtesy call to this florist company due to someone receiving their flowers over 1 week earlier than scheduled. I politely introduced myself and asked the gentleman who eventually said his name is 'Brian' unsure if it's a fictious name whether he were the owner or manager. After numerous times of him aggressively deflecting the question his tone was abrasively irate I proceeded explaining the nation of my call. After sharing to 'Brian' my ordeal that I went through a 2nd party to order my flowers, he had the audacity to give me unsolicited advice with a chastising tone how he's tired of telling his clients to stop purchasing flowers through 'Teleflora &/or 800 Flowers' that customers should look up local florists to make their purchases. Yes, as absurd as his irrational statement was, I informed him that people are not going to take on such an undaunting task since individuals are placing orders from all over the world. Interestingly 'Brian' didn't do his due diligence by asking for my order number nor the receipent name, but he immediately and boastfully blamed my mishap incident on the 2nd party Flowers company without extending a thorough computer check as to whom factually was at fault. Sadly, I heard in the background a woman's whining voice coddling 'Brians' unprofessional demeanor. 'Brian' ended hanging up on me so I then called my 2nd party Flowers company with prayers to rectify my disturbing ordeal I had with SANDY FLOWERS in Birmingham, AL. Indeed, the 2nd party Flowers company was taken aback after I shared my horrific story and not only was I refunded 40% of my monies, they were professional and compassionate to resend my party their flowers using another local florist company on the correct designated date, God is great!!! I would NEVER support SANDY FLOWERS in Birmingham, AL in the future. Karma is real people, what we put out into the Universe we'll get back, that's a fact! Stay safe, be well and KIND to others.
When I call Sandys florist pretty much at the last minute they showed up and showed out. They say a picture is worth a thousand words but the picture I viewed online was beautiful but it was nothing compared the the arrangement in person it was gorgeous. Thanks Sandys you've gained a new customer I loved it. Connie
Although the flowers were delivered on my specified date, they were different from what I had ordered. I understand depending on the season there may need to be substitutes, however this seemed to be a pretty big difference in my opinion. When I called the day of delivery to see if I could get an estimated delivery time for the flowers, the girl who answered sounded annoyed and told me they were probably out already and to call back in an hour to check. She did not ask me for an order number or my name. Also, the card detailing who the flowers were from had one of the names misspelled.
My fiance ordered flowers last week to be delivered to my office downtown today. He informed them I leave work at 4:00 everyday. Your driver contacted me at 4:50 pm asking me if I could meet him off Highland avenue. I told him I was not able to do so because I was already home, I then informed him I lived in Trussvile and he said he would deliver the flowers to my home. I have tried to contact the man that was supposed to deliver them and have gotten no answer or update about my delivery. I will be contacting store tomorrow about my fiance's refund.
