Sangrita Saloon

Stepping into this saloon is like a mix between a high end gastropub and a western bar. It's beautiful, and the seating is very comfortable, it's suited towards small-medium size parties. Tacos are more pricey than other local street tacos, but equally creative in their own way. Cocktails are also a bit more pricey, the service was wonderful but we'd like to see a few more low priced specials

Was very disappointed and annoyed at my last visit there. Went a few years ago and it was memorable, for good reasons. This time, quite the opposite. I went with my wife at 830pm on a Friday night. About 5 or 10 minutes in, the last crew of other guests were gone. My wife and I were the only people in the entire restaurant at around 845pm. Should be excellent, attentive service, right? Very wrong. I ordered a cocktail. Just one. It came out fine. Tasted good Spicy Margarita. Took about 20-30 minutes for them to ask us what we wanted to eat. We had literally no service for these 30 minutes. We ordered 5 tacos around 9-915. 30 minutes later, a new face comes to us and asks if we wanted to order. I said we already did. She then rolled her eyes out of frustration and went back to the kitchen. She came back and said “Chef is finishing up soon.” I could tell this was code for “the order had never been placed.” About 15 minutes later 45 minutes after originally ordering we get our 5 tacos as the only guests in the restaurant. Tacos were good. Pricey for what little tacos you get, but still good. It’s now around 10pm when we are done eating. To review: we had a waitress for just a second to take our order at 9-915. Never saw anyone again until 945 only to then realize the order was never placed never refilled water, never asked if we wanted another drink, etc. Our plates were cleared around 10:05, again never offering to get anything else like more water that had been empty for an hour, another drink, more food, etc. From 10:05 until about 10:25, we sat there again with no service and no check. Just sat there watching them go back and forth sweeping the restaurant that closes at 11 walking past us waiting for the check and again, without any water or drink. Eventually the bro from behind the bar, came to ask us if we wanted our check. Mind you, bar bro walked by our table on three separate occasions to fill HIS carafe of water, but never offered to fill ours. I said yes to the check. He then proceeded to go tell our waitress, who then came back to our table and asked us “remind me, what cocktail did you have again?” My mind had exploded by this point. We eventually got our check and left, frustrated. I should also note, that while we were waiting for things the majority of our time here, the bar bro who spoke loudly was constantly saying profanities, F-bombs, talking loudly about “hot chicks” and the type of comments that usually follow this type of conversation. He was serving a guy who works at the restaurant who was just stopping by. He got far superior service minus the topic of conversation from bar bro, and likely paid nothing. We, on the other hand, paid handsomely for 5 tacos and a lot of time to wait, and wait, and wait. Will never take our business here again. Gave 2 stars because small tacos tasted quite good. Otherwise, one star for everything else .

Yummy tacos mmmm mmmm mmmmm and MAR-GA-RITAS. Music playlist was AF too. Bathrooms are very clean too.

The food was decent. Our waitor was great until he left for the day without telling us and he didn't tell the rest of the staff that we hadn't cashed out yet. So we were just sitting there talking until one of the guys cleaning up was like "Hey we are closing soon" we were like ya uh can we cash out?

I wish I could say I had a good experience at this establishment but I can’t. After walking past this place the last few days my wife decided to drop in for cocktails. After ordering our drinks we waited, and while enjoying some refreshing water and adequate chips and salsa for 20 minutes out so our server reappeared and asked “where are you drinks” to which I replied “we were wondering the same thing”. She walked away, and five minutes later we walked away also. My advice? there are better establishments in Broad Ripple to frequent. Walk on by this place. We will from now on.

Stopped in just for drinks because I love Sangritas margarita with sangria. 1 they have no such drink. 2 drink order placed at 7:50pm, they were not busy, 8:15pm, still no beverage. Our server checked on us, saw the drinks weren’t there and disappeared. Two stars only because the chips were good, water was cool and server friendly. I don’t recommend and I won’t be back. Waiting that long on two margaritas is ridiculous.

I came in for a drink yesterday and Ernesto who i know now is a manager made a very strange comment about my jeans. "those are some tight jeans id love to tear em off"

Good place to have some drinks with friends. Nice environment and service

Jowl bacon taco is worth the visit. Good cocktails and a ton of great tequila.
