Never a bad experience at Upland. This location lived up. Had the classic with fried chicken. Very good, everything was fresh & came out fast, nothing too crazy. There were cucumbers on my sandwich which wasn’t on the menu? But I wasn’t mad. Super great service. I had the Breaking Away sour brew. If you like ginger & a light beer, I HIGHLY recommend. Apparently it’s seasonal, so I’m sad I discovered it so late, but now I know! Plenty of space inside on a Tuesday evening. Bar, restaurant & outdoor seating. I’d love to experience it on a busy night just to see the energy within. Good vibes in general!
I’ve eaten and drank here several times. The food is flavorful, and Bad Elmers Porter is my drink. The Campground IPA is tasty as well. Great spot, good atmosphere.
Great beer on draft and a huge indoor / outdoor facility to drink in. The pita with feta was delicious as well. Waiter was attentive and frequently checked in with our table.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: Yes
Really enjoyed my experience at Upland! I went they are expecting is a good beer, and it certainly delivered, but I was also impressed by the overall ambience, service, and especially the food! And yes I left with some great beer!!!
The food was mediocre at best, but VERY expensive. The prices on the menu had me excited as a was rightfully expecting some high quality ingredients executed at least decently. Instead, I was met with deep disappointment as everything tasted cheap and thrown together with no care or finesse. I would be willing to offer some slack normally, but the restaurant was virtually empty always a bad sign on a Friday night, and we played it safe by ordering some bar menu mainstays; burgers, fries, and nachos. The nachos were actually good but I'm not sure I can give much props for properly executing a dish that can be made by any college student with a microwave. I will admit that we both loved them, but I'm not sure I can attribute that to the restraunt rather than just our basic love for nachos and the simplicity of the dish. The burgers were supposed to be cooked medium but they were well done and very dry. Fortunately my burger came with a nice amount of sauce on the side which I immediately poured out onto my parched burger. However my wife wasn't so lucky, which resulted in us being forced to send her burger back for an order of macaroni and cheese yet another bar favorite. Shockingly, even the macaroni and cheese was completely botched. The noodles were overcooked, there was barely any cheese, it wasn't particularly hot, and the little cheese it did have seemed to be strangley watery as if it was mixing with the excess water that was stored in the overcooked squishy noodles. All that being said, it was seasoned well and tasted good if you could look past the texture and pooling, slightly cheesy liquid; which my wife gladly did as she was starving by this point. The beer was good and reasonably priced since we opted for the daily option that was on the rotating beer special list. I will add that the service was fine, although my glass was allowed to go completely empty twice before being asked if I'd like another beer. To be fair, I didn't wait very long with an empty glass either time, but still kinda shocking that the server didn't ask as he saw my glass nearing empty. It's not as if I was chugging them, and he wasn't busy at all since he only had two other tables.
Fun spot with good food and beers. Sours were excellent, as was barrel aged teddy bear kisses stout. Had chorizo tacos which were very good. Server was really friendly and poured me a couple samples of beers I had mentioned.Food: 5/5
Came here with a large group last minute and the service staff was very quick and willing to get us taken care of. Arden was our server and he was very nice, attentive, and got everything handled perfectly. Food was good, prices were fair, and the beer was delicious. The pretzel and artichoke dip apps were amazing, and my Rueben sandwich was very good. 10/10, would eat here again for sure.
Love having this place in my neighborhood. Just a great go-to for a growler or a beer. Food is better than your average bar fare and service is always good.Food: 4/5
The service was average unless you are counting them not helping me through the front door. The food was okay, but I expected more quantity and flavor for what the prices were, so I was disappointed. There is a large bump on the ramp to get through the front door; IMHO, THIS PLACE IS NOT ACESSIBLE. It is way too difficult to get through the door. I'm sure that not many other wheelchair users have arm strength and tolerance for doors smashing them while hopping a huge bump while going up a ramp to make it inside the building. The street parking is usually taken, so the only close option is a gravel parking lot. Parking: Streetside is usually taken. Gravel lot across the street.
I like them we were all happy with our choices. A bit pricey we had three entrees it was 68.$ before tip. I have seen them in other locations in central Indiana we didn’t order any alcohol
