MÉXICO Eat the World NYC review: The spinning trompo is how Santa Clarita greets passersby in Mott Haven, but the constant music and spirit of the bar inside are the setting for a full menu of wonderful Mexico-style cooking. In addition to the pastor spit, a big simmering trough cooks a wide variety of meats that have all check out so far. Further down the menu and a different way to enjoy these is the metate, a dish named after the stone tool everything is served on. Put a few dollars in the jukebox as the beer starts getting your head spinning, and maybe your name on the list to get the next game of billiards.
Best tacos al pastor I've ever had in my whole life. I can't eat tortillas so I just eat them in a bowl. I suggest the "Mexicana" style with no cheese or cream and come 2irh onions, lime and cilantro. The homemade salsas are great but they don't need anything. I'll just chop up and avocado and squeeze some lime on top.
Ones of the best place for tacos al pastor I recommend,, like 100% in my opinion but different person different taste.
The cool atmosphere of the restaurant doesn't match with the quality of food served with inadequate amount of meat on dishes! The meat of chicken or beef wasn’t fresh, its taste is not like grilled , the taste of meat was likely boiled or warmed with something else.
Cash only! Tacos were great.
The tacos are AMAZING and juicy, the service was great and fast but it was also pretty empty so im not sure how the service is when busy. They also have a pool table you can pay a dollar for if youd like to play! : they were playing the tunes too.
Absolutely amazing delicious authentic Mexican food when I say the best the very best price so affordable that your entire family could eat with a full stomachs amazing service very very friendly just love this place this is one of my favorites I would recommend this to everyone please do go visit and make sure you tip well
Brilliant tucked in the wall authentic Mexican joint. I had torta carne asada. Nothing to complain about and I really enjoyed their salsa verde. My buddy and his wife just moved into the neighborhood and couldn't stop about this place. They were right. And he knows I'm going to be impossibly critical of places.
I really didn't know what to expect when we came across this little gem in The Bronx, but we were very pleasantly welcomed not only by the staff but also from the customers having lunch. The food was amazing, real Mexican food. A family restaurant. Don't be fooled by the simplicity of the space. If you like Mexican food it is a place to go.
Absolutely Love their tacos! Real Mexican Restaurant with real Mexican food. I don't really like dining in that much ; I've only dined in there once and that was because it was not that busy.
