Always amazing cocktails. I've eaten here many times and tried most of the mains and many of the starters; everything is delicious. Great service. Outdoor seating is available covered with heaters for cold times.Food: 5/5
I a totally obsessed with their drink Dirty Lettuce, it makes me feel like I'm drinking something healthy whilst getting tipsy...I like to pair it with their Bacon Wrapped Dates, that I call "Meat Candy". The atmosphere is fantastic and the tables outside each have powerful heaters. A great spot for a date.
Great place for cocktails. I've only had tasty snack bites but plan on having dinner there soon. Service is great! Love that it's in our neighborhood.Food: 5/5
My family had to stand at the door for nearly an hour to be seated with my 2year old, while two ladies sat at their biggest booth having drinks. The staff said they couldn’t ask them to move. Then we were seated, minutes later the ladies left, another pair was sat in that booth. Then a group of 6 walked insame number as my group, the staff asked that couple they had sat at the booth to move for this group of 6 white old dudes who stood there maybe 5min from when they entered. Food and drink was good so lifted my spirits a bit, but the staff really didn’t care. For a place that required a 20% tip the only people I hope gets a piece are the waitress that helped us, the cook and the bartender. The rest of the staff didn’t not look thrilled to be working. Say this place isn’t family friendly, and we would have taken our business elsewhere.
This swanky little spot is worth checking out. Diverse food options, lots of fun cocktails to choose from, and full table service. It gets packed so make a reservation or try your luck with open seating at the bar.
Came here for NYE for the first time because they described anything thirty-something's dream: no cover, an early start time and vinyl DJ's. They didn't disappoint, it was the best start to a New Year I've had since...well, ever? The Sapphire Hotel is not a Hotel, let's get that right though. If you're curious where the name comes from, check out their website for a vibrant historical walk down a scandalous memory lane of old world Portland. Whether you're here for a date, or meeting a group of friends I have to recommend this spot for any reason... while I was drinking cocktails, the food did look delicious - so I'll be back as soon as possible!
Service at the bar was great. But after sitting down to eat, our server kept rushing us out: asking if we wanted boxes for food we were clearly still eating, dropping our check before we were done. It wasn't even busy or late.
A great spot! The drinks were awesome I highly recommend the Mezcal/pineapple drink! and the food was decent! We got the pomodoro pasta, the beet burger and the polenta fries. The polenta Fries we’re awesome—I asked for the aioli on the side to dip because I didn’t care for the red sauce to dip them in, but they were tasty. The other two dishes were good—nothing super spectacular, but fine! The pasta had decent flavor although a touch boring overall. The burger had good flavor, but fell apart really easily. I think it’s because they make them in house—which is a big positive! The ambience and atmosphere were GREAT though. Very cozy, pretty dark, very comfortable. If the atmosphere and drinks weren’t how they were, I would have felt like I overpaid for pasta I could have made at home. But alas, it was a great overall experience and not overpriced. 4 stars would have been 5 if the food was a touch tastier.
I honestly think that people don't know enough about this place. It's NOT a hotel, it's a cocktail bar with great food, vegan/veg options and I always suggest it to my friends looking to add a new spot in their rotation. Vegetarian options: They have a beet burger that I get every single time I'm there. It's so good. Messy, but good.
Swanky woman-owned nightlife spot with a large liquor library and regularly changing drink specials. Great date spot.Food: 4/5
