Phenomenal quality, real Indian food. Bold flavors, friendly staff, great prices! This is some of the best Indian cuisine in NYC.
I ordered the lunch special and was very happy with my order. Great food, full of flavor and spices for a very good price. I prefer take out since the restaurant is a bit tight, will return.Recommended dishesLunch Special
Wow ! Great deal here for all day prix fix . It's $21.95 for appetizer and an entree with rice and naan . Great place. Dessert was extra and they also give you some papadum to start . They have wine by the glass and also Indian beer now . We started with a tasty homemade samosa with potato and pea and spicy chutney. And some onion pakora. Delicious ! My main was Saag Paneer but next time I would get the vegetable korma or a shrimp dish My friend liked his lamb korma a lot. The naan was really big ! Fresh and tasty that was almost my favorite part of the dinner. Also I'd recommend the Pinot noir as being better than the rose wine by the glass . For dessert we had gulab jamon and it was hot ! But next time I'd try the kheer rice pudding. I would call this a great spot in Gramercy for a casual date . Very good food and not too expensive.
This is a really good Indian restaurant. Great food and equally food service. It's a pretty small restaurant and hence has limited seating capacity - so better to reserve in advance.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: Yes
Really friendly staff, big portions, food is good. Overall good for the price. The chicken tikka masala had a tasty sauce but the chicken was a little bland for chicken tikka. The sag paneer lacked flavor but contained a ton of spinach. Rice was good.
amazing, the GARLIC NAAN,it was the best i had. there was complimentary papadums crispy wheat something i’m not sure of the name with two sauces. it was yummy and the sauce taste wayyy fresher than what i had before. got the all day pre fix for 23.95 but paid for a dollar something extra for garlic naan but so worth it. the chicken samosas were not dry and filled with chicken! the butter chicken and tikka masala were yummy, i had butter chicken i liked the sauce. but i felt like the chicken was a bit dry inside but that may be just the style cuz it does like that in other places too. and big chunks of meat!! comes w rice great steal and leaves you stuffed with leftover! service was impeccable, the two ladies were so considerate and kind. we even got two plastic bags to take our leftovers home. today plastic bags is extra, so i’m always happy to be offer one!
Great Indian restaurant. The chicken vindaloo is super super spicy but all dishes are good. The naan was done well. The lamb samosa was really good.Food: 5/5
On my first night in New York, my friend and I went to Sathi. From the moment we stepped in the door, we were greeted by the staff and our order was taken by a very friendly manager. We ordered three different dishes and tried some Indian beers. We didn't have to wait long for the food to arrive, and when it did, it was really well-prepared and full of delicious flavors. By far the greatest Indian meal we've ever had! The staff did an excellent job of following up and ensuring that we were comfortable and having a nice time. We were also really pleased with the ambience and the whole establishment. We will definitely return. Many thanks to all the good people who worked there that night. Strongly recommended :
Came for lunch with a friend around 12:30, not busy. We both ordered the lunch special which was $15, you can pick either tikka masala or saag paneer, with a choice of another entree, and rice or naan. Although the portions look small, it was so filling. They gave a GENEROUS amount of chicken. Literally I had 4 or 5 pieces of chicken in my small bowl of butter chicken. Chicken was a bit dry but it was still good! Saag paneer was cooked perfectly, I’m not a big fan of spinach but it was cooked so well! We ordered garlic naan separately and I got another bowl of rice and everything came out to $40 before tips. Delicious and affordable considering it’s in Manhattan. Also service was great, waiter was friendly and attentive. Definitely will be coming back :
Excellent food - some of the best Indian food my wife and I have ever had. We got Samosas, Pakoras, Garlic Naan, COCONUT NAAN EPIC!!! and Mali Kofta. Also Rice Pudding and the cottage cheese dessert. Everything was hot and very fresh tasting. The place was clean and the food was excellent The service and food was extremely good too! They're very busy and do a ton of takeout orders too. Enjoy!!!
