Went into get new running shoes and the guy who helped me was very knowledgeable and helped make sure I had the right size for my foot. He took the time to explain the difference between different shoes and the benefits of getting one over the other. He also brought out a bunch of different options to make sure I was happy with my purchase and assured me I could always come back if I had any questions.

I decided to go in and see this store after hearing so much about it on TV. I went in around 10 AM and started checking out the store by department. From the moment I walked in to the time I left the store I was constantly asked over and over and over "Can I help you?" to which I replied " I'm just browsing thank you". It seems that every single associate in there accosted me and followed me around and asked the same "Can I help you?" I started feeling like I was some sort of Thief. It was like they were being told to follow me around. I started feeling so uncomfortable I headed for the door without buying anything and I will never be back. What was suppose to be an enjoyable browsing of this beautiful store and possibly making some purchases turned out to be an intimidating big brother is watching nightmare in which I felt like I was not welcome. Manager, you need to tell your employees to quit following people around and tell them that when a customer has to keep saying "no thank you" over and over they need to get off the customer's back and leave them alone. I am sure that I am not the only person who has been hassled by employees at Scheels.

It is hard not to love this store. Great selection, friendly staff. I know they are not all 'experts' but enough of them are and the others are friendly enough that I love to shop there. From Curt in the Bike shop, Miles, Leon, Travis in the gun shop, Scott at the checkouts, many more un-named, they were just the ones I could think of off top of my head, they all do their job with pride and great customer service,

The kids love Scheels. Plenty of stuff to see and games to play. The staff are always willing to help and are knowledgeable about what they are selling.
