Don't miss a visit to this wonderful spot. Such a selection. We've picked up Blanton's black and Weller 12 as well as lots of other finds. Richard is fabulous, ask for him if you're a scotch or bourbon lover.
Schneider's is one of those great establishments with great customer service. Have no idea what to get for a particular social event? These guys and gals will walk you through the choices that fits your budget. Plenty of staff on hand to hp you at the busiest of times. Parking isn't so bad; 5 or 6 spots on property plus the side streets. Their an easy walk from Union Station and a good walk from any of the congressional office buildings.
I cannot say more good things about this place - great variety of liquor, friendly staff, amazing service. This is the ONLY liquor store I frequent. All other stores in DC does NOT have the brand of wine that I buy - this store has it along with many other hard to find items. Definitely worth visiting!
The staff was so friendly here! They made us laugh and feel at home even though we're not local. If we were, we definitely would be visiting this shop regularly for all of our boozy needs! :
Schneider's is the place to go for high end spirits and wines. If you are into beer, skip it. The Store is small with tight aisles packed to the ceiling. Though the selection is limited by the size of the store, it is highly curated. Every bottle is a good value, and many are absolute gems- be sure to ask if you are looking for something special and don't see it on the shelves. Schneider's knowledgeable staff is what really sets it apart. Need a good bourben to gift to a co-worker but you don't know the spirit very well? Simply ask for a rec, and you'll get an honest informed reccomendation. They don't push products that are sitting stagnant on the shelves. You'll leave wth a special and often unique bottle.
I bought a 1982 Chateau Latour for my husband for Christmas on Vivino and it came from this shop. The bottle condition was stunning, and it thankfully drank just as beautifully. It is clear that this store takes great care of their products. Highly recommended!!!
I has been buying from this store for years, in the past I was dealing with Tristan and he always worked out good deals and recommendations, complementary shipping, etc. For the last couple of years, since Tristan left the company, the manager Terry took over and the way he handle things is very erratically. He does NOT have good customer oriented manner. On my second to last order he sold me 2 bottles that were described as White wine, they turned out to be red and one of them a grape I have never bought since I don’t like. He refused to take those bottles back and went further to say he did not want to do more business with me. Then he shipped 3 bottles they had set aside for me and they arrived in a very bad shape, they seemed to have gone through a very high heat, they probably sent me those damaged bottles on purpose. Beware with the bad costumer services and lack of ownership when they get something wrong.
Great store and well accommodating. We visited and only needed a few things due to only a 1 night stay. Steph opened a case of bud light just so we can get a 12 pack of beer. Loved the store and will go back next time I’m in DC.
Just the best vine store in Washington DC, stuff is super professional, Andrew after few minutes knew exactly what I wanted, variety of American vine is amazing. Highly recommend!
Scheider's is unique to within itself since carrys alot of foreign and domestic wines and spirits that you cannot find anyone else. If you want a particular brand they will gladly order it for you
