Schroeder's All American Homes

I had to click on a start to get this posted, if there was a negative number I would have used that. We haven't even finished with the setup of our new home and it is raining in my living room today. This has been and is continuing to be the most expensive disappointment ever. We loved the home when it showed up but ever since they started to setup the home it has been one disaster after another. The setup crew hasn't been here in three weeks, its one excuse after another. When they do show up they work for a couple of hours and leave. Absolutely no communication unless I initiate it. We were told 10 days for the setup of a new home it has been 6 weeks and they haven't even finished the siding or the roof so it won't leak. If anyone is thinking about using these folks I would go seriously go though someone else. We feel we wasted time and a lot of money for a ruined new home that we may never get to live in. At this point we want all of our money back and the house to go away. Truly a heartbreaking experience.

Absolutely horrible company. All parts of the house got halfway done and left out to the elements for multiple weeks. We paid extra for an upgraded dishwasher and jacuzzi tub and we don't have the water pressure to clean the dishes and not enough hot water to fill the tub. Our porch light doesn't work. They said they would come fix these issues when they had "time". Over 3 months later this issues still are not resolved. The owner blamed it on the contractors he hired. He said he was going to fire them and hire different ones. Surprise when I called to complain its the same contractors. They said the water pressures problem is in the well. Nope called well guys and they said water pressure is fine. Water pressure in old house was great. Now it's crap. Not enough to clean the dishes. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

This has been the most difficult, painful sales experience I have ever been thru. It started with me being told that it would take 6 to 9 weeks for the house to come off the line in Nebraska, and that I should add a week as the factory closes down the week between Christmas and New Years. So, I signed a contract on 11-7-16, anticipating delivery in late January. When I contacted Schroeder's in mid January for a status update, I was told that the house had not even been started, because the factory had a big commercial order that they were trying to fill. Schroeder's had known that for quite some time, and never bothered to inform me. When the house was finally off the line in mid March, we discovered that my contractor had been dishonest and lead me to believe that the property was fully prepped--it wasn't. I immediately pulled together another crew, to get the work completed, paying substantial premiums to get fast service. At the beginning of last week, Schroeder's told me that the house would be delivered early this week--Monday, when pressed. This morning, I got a text message, I quote: "Wind is blowing. Looks like it will be Friday/Saturday. I'll know more on Wednesday and will let you know." Two problems with that message--nowhere on the I-25 corridor, the route the house would be transiting, was recording winds in excess of 20 mph. And second, no one thought it was important to note this weekend coming up is Easter weekend, and the chances of the house being delivered, set and exterior finished are minimal at best. So now I am looking at sometime on or after April 17th. (Note also that the house was paid for in full 5 weeks ago!) Five months and 10 days after the contract was signed, at minimum, not 10 weeks. Poor poor customer service and after sale follow thru.

Love my experience working with Schroeder's All American Homes. It's nice having someone who is straight forward, honest and stands behind their work!

This was my very first home buying experience and Schroeder's All American Homes made it as painless as possible by helping us out any time that they could. I love my new home!!
