Sandwiches was great. Taste was perfect, ingredients were fresh. Each sandwich comes with a chips. Service was excellent and fast. Atmosphere was very clean, full of light and relaxing. We loved the sandwiches and we got one more for our dinner.
It's a very nice little cafe practically hidden among modern sculptures. Seating is somewhat limited inside, but terrace seating is a great choice on a nice weather day. I enjoyed my Southwest BBQ Chicken Flatbread very much. It was very tasty. I even received a favorable comment from a passerby as I sought my seat under an umbrella outside. My wife had a vegetable and cheese quiche. It was also a very tasty dish, and it came with a fruit cup as a side. We concluded that this Cafe provides decent food. Prices are not too bad considering this location in the National Mall you'll spend more money at food trucks, and food is much better here. When you might need some respite from all your visits to various museums, this place fits your bill. Highly recommended! Vegetarian options: Vegetarian meals are clearly marked on the menu.
A small cafe in a beautiful park. Enclosed by glass walls ensuring a good view from any seat in the house, this cafe offers indoor and outdoor seating in an incredible setting - the National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden. For the most part, light eats and handhelds with a variety of hot and cold beverages - adult beverages available. One orders up front or online and takes it to your seat when called. Can be very busy in the summer!
Was an excellent oasis of A/C on a very hot summer day. And the food was good. We needed a place to retreat from the very hot summer sun and grab some food. The only gripe I had was they were out of the cobb salad. So I & the kids had the Montreal Beef. Sandwiches were good sized but came with just plain Lays chips. My wife had the Couscous salad. The staff moved quickly through people so while there was a line to the door, we didn't wait long.
Would be 5 star if they didn’t serve everything in plastic boxes. Cake should be eaten of a plate not out of a plastic box. Really just invest in proper crockery and aim for zero waste. It’s not that hard.Food: 5/5
This place was crowded but still calm on a sunny Sunday. Lots of sandwiches, quiches and small pizzas. Relatively affordable compared to other museum cafés. You can eat inside or outside, both with views of fountains or the sculpture garden.Food: 4/5
We ordered two flat bread pizzas a tuna wrap and roast beef sandwich. The regular cheese pizza was not too good. The california pizza was good. The roast beef sandwich and tuna wrap was ok. Hiwever, we had pla piece of wood chip come out of the wrap. We asked for a new one and the counter lady thought that it was part of the tuna! We did get a replacement but it was not a pleasant experience. The garden outside is really nice and the cafe interior is pretty nice too.
We showed up at 3:50 PM knowing that the sign said they closed at 4:00 PM. We were met by a security guard who told us they were closed. When we pointed out that the sign said 4 PM, we were told that was so they could get everyone out by 4 PM. I have worked for various restaurants over my 55 years on this earth. If the sign says 4 PM, people should get served at 3:59 PM. We would have gladly ordered to go and sat outside to eat. This is bad business! I would have valued the food higher, but we never got to eat any.
Sometimes it is cold when you visit D.C... Actually a lot of the time it is. If it is cold the next time you visit you can visit the Pavilion Cafe near the National Art Gallery to warm up and munch on some coffee and pastries.Food: 4/5
It was the only place open near the museums that is not a food truck. The meal is box salads and sandwiches. Very good large size. Also, carbonated drinks and beer. Indoor and outside seating. Nice fountains with modern art right by it and lots of concrete seats around the water to eat your food. It closes at 4 pm and opens at 11 am. Love the structure of the building and no masks needed.
