DO NOT USE! Very overpriced. Poor customer service. Technician quoted price and was told I could think about it and call to schedule repair service later with no change to price and without paying additional service call fee. This fee is $169. Call someone else and pay $60-$80 for service fee. A week later Sears would not return to complete repair without me paying an ADDITIONAL $169 service fee. I refuse and will never use their services again. They overcharged for repairs as well but felt trapped by the $169 so was going to use them, but not when told to pay an additional $169. Save yourself and choose someone else.
I should start by saying the schedulers were helpful and able to get me scheduled the very next day when I called. My service call included a washer/dryer set and dishwasher. My technician Sergio was great.. very polite, on time, finished very quickly, and was patient with my questions. I asked to have my dryer door moved to the other side, which he completed quickly. He was very thorough and took time to explain maintenance features of my new dishwasher as well. Very respectful and courteous. I didn't time the visit, but would say he was finished within an hour at most. On a personal note, I appreciated that he didn't mind my 12 yr old dog's interest in hovering a bit. I'm convinced she thinks of herself as human, and loves having visitors. Thanks Sergio!
The repair on my 3 year old refrigerator needed a new compressor was done, unfortunately it took 2 weeks! One week to get some one here to check my warm refrigerator, he ordered compressor and made an appointment for the following week for install. Compressor came 3 days later so I called SERVICE as was instructed to get an expedited service call. When I called I was on hold for 35 min and spoke to someone who I couldn't understand, but he did tell me he would call me back in 1 1/2 hours with a new appointment, of course he didn't call. I tried the next day, I was on hold for 60minutes and then disconnected!!!! I have always used Sears for service on all my appliances, but if this is the way Sears treats their customers I will find some one else to do the job. The SERVICE DEPARTMENT gets an F for failure. On a better note, the service man was courteous and on time, completed the job quickly and I have my refrigerator. I am giving this rating a 2 because of the HORRIBLE SERVICE DEPARTMENT, but would give it a 5 for the REPAIR
Great deals on appliances although some have dents and stuff. If you don't mind that then you'll get a great great deal
Very satisfied with the repair made to our Kitchen Aid side by side refrigerator. Our Tech, Ken made a correct diagnosis on a broken part in the ice dispenser and ordered replacement parts. He returned to install the parts and everything is now working as it should. Ken is a very pleasant and proficient service tech. We used the online coupon for the 20% discount which was appreciated. Because we live outside of Atlanta we are pleased to have Sears Appliance Repair do our appliance repair. All experiences to date have been great!
Technician Donald was VERY professional Dishwasher was repaired properly and at a reasonable price The operators/schedulers don't communicate well. Be ready for the "hard sell" of extended warranties when you schedule an appointment. They will talk over you to "tell you" about extended warranties. At a warranty cost of $600 year, I'll save the money for 10 years and buy all new appliances $6,000 Schedulers want a four hour arrival window had to be home from 8:00am to noon. We didn't receive a schedule confirmation email as promised. Mobile phones could cut this to a one hour max window
So far, so good. Have not had real good luck in the past w/ replacement boards for my double wall oven - most, if not all are rebuilt boards and fail pretty quick, But, they are always replace at no charge under my Sears Service Plan wouldn't be without it! Service tech was great as always Only complaint w/ new board is that at 10:39 last night, it played us a nice tune with several "beeps" over a period of about 5 minutes. Have no idea why, seems to be working as normal today. Guess I'll just wait and see if it decides to sing to me again.
We have a very old dryer and really debated whether to get a new one or repair the old one. Our service man was very courteous, on time and honest. We decided to go ahead and repair our old dryer one more time. It is working great and we appreciate our service man's input and suggestions. He fixed the dryer fast and was on his way! Thanks for the great service and I will certainly recommend Sears Home Services to my family and friends.
