Can’t wait to leave soon. Unorganization with management, they accidentally towed our vehicle because they didn’t see it move during the pandemic last year, the gate has been broken for awhile. We have a broken fence and broken pole on a carport. No cameras. It’s just so unsafe. Also my renters insurance was out of compliance and instead of letting us know that or what to change they kept requesting copies.. long story short I had to cut my losses and they charged me for renters insurance when we already had a policy. Also as we are leaving now there was confusion on getting my 60 day notice. I emailed, called to verify and still received an email today. I had to call corporate to make sure they received it because I am all out of trust.
I have lived at Sendera at Greenway for almost two years and it’s not because it’s just that amazing. The neighborhood is about the only thing positive about this place. This place is really old . Like the apartments look like apartments that would go for $700 not $1100. This place also has a serious roach infestation. It doesn’t matter how much I clean up , there are still roaches. I am convinced that these roaches are in the walls , which means the place all buildings needs to entirely be fumigated. I also either smell cigarettes or pee when I walk toward certain areas of the complex. Mold is also an issue….. I will say though that the front desk is majority of the time very understanding. I went through a lot during the pandemic and had a few times where I was late in rent and they still worked with me. Which I appreciate greatly. But everything else is a big red flag. My lease is up soon thankfully. I would have already been gone but I am not paying an 876 reletting fee and additional rent until the find a new tenant.
As long as I’ve lived here usually the managers are better than what we have to deal with now. Mark Ruiz doesn’t do anything he says he’s going to do for the tenants that live on property. He gives false hope for everything and never follows through. I’ve had to complain to the regional level on him many times due to his lack of sec motivation as a manager. He sets rules that don’t get followed by him. He asks you to do something but he doesn’t do his job of doing what is asked nor following up. He allows cars and wild pool parties to happen on property, which leaves residents with no parking spots. Apparently he wanted to not give out the new gate code due to his tenant throwing wild pool parties but as residents says we need to have reasons for those gate codes. Then sends it out days later probably due to complaints of not being able to get in the gate. He lives on property and still doesn’t care about what is happening. Ashley on the other hand she needs to be the manager because she actually tries and follows up when things arise. I would give this place zero stars all due to Mark not handling his job like he needs to for his tenants.
I really wanted to love this place because the location is amazing. Overall, the process for paperwork and move-in was easy. The apartment appears comfortable mid-grade, not upscale but not complete garbage, and can supply washer/dryers in-unit. I never had any safety issues in my almost 12 months here. Having said that, there are a roach, flea and neighbors problem. In the almost 12 months I lived here, I had at least 8 roaches in my apartment dead because I kept pesticide spraying sm a month and saw loads of them running around the entire community at night during late night walks for my dog. My dog is nearly four and never had a flea issue until we moved here. Then, the neighbors…on several occasions I’ve not been able to fall asleep on a weekday or Sunday night because people are playing music/being obnoxious past 11 pm. This isn’t the only issue. Some people will not have their dogs on leashes or pickup after their dogs when they walk them and it’s progressively gotten worse in the last 6 months. The last note on the neighbors is there are quite a few that constantly get high and areas will reek of it, to the point where my apartment has smelled as if there was a pot party in it.
My partner and I lived here for just two months. In that timespan we had a flea infestation and a dead animal rotting in our walls while management did not repair these issues for weeks. Finally, we broke our lease and had all legal grounds to do so due to the failure to repair clause in the lease. Don’t live here. Just don’t do it. We had a horrific experience living in an unlivable unit for far too long and it was endangering our health while management sat there not able to help us.
My husband and daughter and I visited the Sendera at Greenway Apartments while driving in that area. We met Ashley, the assistant manager, of the Sendera. She was phenomenal! She gave us a tour of the facilities and of an apartment. It was close to 100 degrees outside, so we rode in the golf cart to take our tour. The complex is fairly large. We were very impressed. Ashley was very informative, professional, and a delight to be around. The Sendera is a very nice place. Thank you.
Generally okay. The maintenance staff are very good and always responsive. The office staff are reasonably good. Ashley the assistant community manager is particularly very professional with excellent human relation. She is also very personable with high degree of empathy. - From a verified resident on ApartmentRatings
Great maintenance staff. We have new office staff and they seem really nice. So glad!
I've been here a little over a month and am really happy. The architecture is charming, landscaping is nice, management is helpful, and maintainance is quick. Washer/dryers are included in some units. They're a little on the smaller side but work just fine. The balconies aren't fully fenced in, which took a bit to get used to. Covered parking isn't assigned and you need to have your tag displayed, but I'm always able to find a close spot. It's walking distance to Costco and a whole shopping center off Richmond. If you're into the Lakewood Church, it's walking distance from that too. There's also a really cute coffee shop off Edloe and Westheimer that's about a 10 min walk. Quick drive to downtown, Montrose, and The Heights. I'm glad I found this place!
Ashley is nice and makes you feel welcomed! The complex seems quiet and floor plans are nice. You do have to rent out your own washer and dryer here. A bit more up keep would be nice tho I saw a big dead roach in the unit shown and seeing it’s empty and the one they show, you’d think they’d keep it in top shape.
